About the Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be a key worker responsible for delivering the highest standards of care and education to the children in your room. Working alongside your Room Leader and fellow practitioners, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating, organised, and safe learning environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work with your Room Leader and colleagues to ensure outstanding early years care and education.
  • Create and maintain an organised, safe, and stimulating room environment.
  • Be a key worker responsible for a specific group of children, supporting their learning and development.
  • Continually develop a strong knowledge of pedagogy, policies, and procedures within the nursery.
  • Ensure compliance with the EYFS framework and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation within the room.
  • Plan and set up engaging activities tailored to children’s needs and interests.
  • Carry out meaningful observations and complete associated reports accurately.
  • Communicate professionally and warmly with parents, providing regular feedback.
  • Promote positive home/nursery links through daily interactions and online learning journeys.
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent sessions, and nursery events, including occasional weekend or evening activities.
  • Respect and care for nursery resources, ensuring a high-quality learning environment.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • ? Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare (or equivalent).
  • ? Experience working with 0 to 5-year-olds in an early years setting.
  • ? A genuine passion for early childhood education.
