About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of 2 to 3 year olds can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week, and some families on qualifying benefits can claim 15 hours regardless of working status. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery applies funded hours during term time only. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 6.3 funded hours per day, used only during term time. With your selected funding, 18.8 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

Both of my girls have attended this nursery and have had the most magical experience. The staff feel like an extension of our family, affectionately known by the children as their "aunties". They are incredibly warm and kind, taking the time to understand each child's individual personality, needs...
I particularly love how connected the nursery is to the village and the school next door, with forest school and opportunities to read alongside Reception children, as well as visits to and from the local church. These experiences foster a wonderful sense of belonging and community.
Communication is always clear, and everything is well organised.

My son has been attending Woodham Walter Community Nursery (WWCN) since January and I would absolutely recommend this setting for anyone interested. A friend suggested I went to see WWCN after not finding a nursery local to us which I felt would work for us as a family. I wanted somewhere that felt homely, had a smaller number of children, where the staff really cared, and where time outside wasn't restricted. WWCN ticked all those boxes and more, so even though we have to travel a little way to get there we are so happy with the decision to send our son there. Free flow outside time, mixed ages in a small class, and staff who are genuinely love and care.
