Honeypot Children's Nursery - Luncarty

The Honeypot Nursery, Luncarty, is a warm, welcoming, and high-quality learning environment for all children and their families, based just outside of Perth. The nursery cares for and educates children from a wide catchment area and offers provision for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Toddlers and babies have access to two nurturing rooms where staff ensure they take a child centred approach. The rooms provide children with a stimulating environment and offer learning experiences that follow the Realising the Ambition guidance. Antepre and preschool children follow The Curriculum for Excellence Framework. Each child is provided with many opportunities and experiences throughout the day and have access to a nurturing lunch/snack area as well as inviting outdoor area where they can explore and risk assess.

Parental views are valued and the team work with parents and other professionals to make a positive difference. The Famly app is used to provide parents with in-depth information about the nursery and their child. Staff also have the opportunity to build further positive relationships with the children and their families through the use of Famly as information is recorded throughout the nursery day.

Honeypot’s provision is enhanced and complemented by the Forest School Sessions. These are led by qualified Forest Kindergarten Leaders who provide sessions that offer children regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in the local woodland and surrounding areas.

The staff team have many leadership roles, which include Communication, Numeracy and Digital Champions. Staff training provides children with endless opportunities and in-depth knowledge and understanding in each area. Intergenerational links have also been made with the local care home and the nursery often joins the local community for events throughout the year. Read less
