Sarah leads our Pre-school.
She has proudly been part of the Dollis community since 2008, when she first joined as a Nursery Nurse. Over the years, she has had the privilege of developing and growing the early years provision, transforming it into a full-time nursery and, later, opening our preschool in 2017.
In 2014, Sarah became a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, further strengthening her role within the school. In 2025, she took on the role of Early Years SENCo, a position that reflects her deep commitment to inclusion and ensuring that every child is supported to thrive. She is also proud to have served as Dollis school governor for support staff since 2019.
Our preschool has now celebrated over ten successful years, and it remains something she is incredibly proud of. Sarah has carefully shaped the setting around the Curiosity Approach and the Reggio Emilia philosophy, creating an environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired.
She is passionate about providing a happy, nurturing space where children are encouraged to be curious, take risks, and explore through first-hand experiences. Through thoughtfully planned, continuous provision, we support children in becoming confident, independent learners who are ready to embrace new adventures every day.
Emma McGlashan's journey with Dollis began as a parent when her child joined the preschool in 2021!
She quickly fell in love with the setting, seeing first-hand what a safe, welcoming environment it was. Her daughter developed so many new skills and built wonderful friendships during her time there, which made it a truly special experience for Emma's family.
In 2024, she was delighted to join the Dollis team and was especially proud to be offered a role within the preschool; Emma feels incredibly rewarded to now be part of a setting that she once experienced as a parent.
She enjoys spending her days supporting children as they develop new skills and grow in confidence; she is passionate about inclusion and takes pride in being part of a team that provides care and education to the highest standards.
As a strong advocate for children with SEND, Emma is committed to ensuring that every child’s individual needs are met. Working within this provision allows her to be herself, while making a meaningful difference in the lives of the children the team supports.
Emma takes great pride in nurturing every child, especially those with additional needs, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and able to thrive within Dollis' caring and inclusive environment.
Sharon King has been part of the Dollis community since 2001, when she first began as a volunteer, reading with children and supporting their early love of learning. From there, Sharon progressed into the role of Midday Supervisor and later became a General Teaching Assistant, continuing to build her experience and passion for working with children.
Sharon is particularly passionate about supporting children with SEND, as well as those with behavioural needs. She has a strong interest in working with small groups and providing tailored support to help every child feel understood, valued, and successful.
In 2024, she joined the preschool team and found it to be a truly wonderful place to be. Sharon enjoys supporting children as they grow in confidence and independence, helping them develop across all areas of their learning.
