Diddy Dinos Keston is a welcoming preschool providing term-time education and care for children aged two to four years. Opened in January 2025, the setting offers a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children are supported to learn through play, exploration, and new experiences.
The preschool is designed with a Reception-style layout to help children become familiar with school routines and develop confidence and independence. Children enjoy creative activities, construction, puzzles, threading, books, dressing-up, and imaginative play, alongside group games and interactive learning using a projector and screen.
Outdoor play is an important part of the day. The garden includes messy play, digging, cars and scooters, a mud kitchen, climbing frame, and a trampoline. Children are encouraged to explore outdoors throughout the year and develop curiosity through hands-on experiences.
Each week brings new experiences, such as visits from musicians and artists, animal encounters, sports and yoga sessions, and visits from local community heroes. These activities help broaden interests and create memorable learning opportunities for children.
Diddy Dinos Keston also has a special resident, Zuko, a dwarf white rabbit who explores a designated garden area. Children learn about caring for and respecting animals through gentle, supervised interactions.
With a focus on play, creativity, outdoor learning, and new experiences, Diddy Dinos Keston provides a positive start to early years education and helps children develop the confidence and skills needed for school.

About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
Working parents of 2 to 3 year olds can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week, and some families on qualifying benefits can claim 15 hours regardless of working status. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery applies funded hours during term time only. You've selected 30 funded hours.
This nursery applies up to 6.5 funded hours per day, used only during term time. With your selected funding, 19.5 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

My daughter attended Diddy Dinos from 2025 - 2026. I couldn't have been happier with the nursery, from lovely surroundings to excellent staff. The nursery was constantly doing things for the children and always coming up with fun 'theme days' for them to enjoy. My eldest daughter didn't have the pleasure of attending this nursery as it wasn't open at the time but what I can say is, Miss Barbara really cares, all of the staff including Miss Nancy truly love their job and care for the children and it makes such a difference especially in the attention they receive. Miss Barbara was always baking for the children which they loved! The children are well looked after with plenty of opportunities to learn, play and develop. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough, I had total peace of mind when she attended and she was always so happy. Thank you so much Diddy Dinos!

Our children have been at Diddy Dinos Keston since they were 3 & 2 years old, the eldest has now transitioned to reception which has gone seamlessly thanks to the staff handovers & support given. The youngest has started his second year with Diddy Dinos and is beyond excited to go every day (and upset and the weekends when it isn't open!). We feel incredibly lucky to have found this preschool. Over the last year, our children have developed so much, and the range and quality of activities they provide has been outstanding. For us, Diddy Dinos has felt like a second home. It has exactly the warm, nurturing, home-from-home environment you would wish for your child at such an important stage of their life. It is like dropping the children off with loving family each day.
All of the staff are exceptional: kind, caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children. You can really see that they care deeply about each child & know them individually.

Diddy Dinos is an incredible nursery. The staff there value each child as an individual and take the time to know each of the child's needs, likes and dislikes. Children form strong relationships with the staff and the staff go above and beyond to ensure the setting is exciting, engaging and accessible to all. The staff take the time to plan exciting activities for the children and involve them in many activities that help them with important life skills. The children also get many visitors come to the pre school to enhance the learning further. In our experience, it was the most incredible setting for our child and are so excited to send our next child there as we loved it so much.
We would recommend this pre school to anyone who was looking for a nursery.
