Millie’s House Nursery & Pre-School at Boatman’s Court, Putney, opened in January 2025 as a purpose-built nursery offering places for up to 74 children aged from three months to five years. Carefully designed with children’s wellbeing, curiosity, and development at its core, the nursery provides high-quality care and education across four bespoke learning rooms. Each space has been thoughtfully created to support learning through play, exploration, and meaningful discovery.

The bright, contemporary building benefits from underfloor heating, sensor lighting, and an abundance of natural light, creating calm, welcoming environments filled with high-quality, open-ended resources. Outdoors, children have access to a distinctive two-storey garden that extends learning beyond the classroom and supports physical development. With cosy reading corners, mud kitchens, bikes, water play, and a flourishing herb garden, the outdoor spaces inspire creativity, sustainability, and a lasting connection with nature.

At Millie’s House, children’s voices are at the heart of everyday practice. Drawing inspiration from Montessori and Froebel philosophies, the nursery places a strong emphasis on independence, curiosity, and outdoor learning. The bespoke curriculum, Millie’s Map to Meaning, is designed to support every child in becoming a Confident Communicator, a Resilient Researcher, a Curious and Creative Thinker, and a Happy, Healthy Individual who feels Safe and Secure, laying strong foundations for lifelong learning.

Children also enjoy a rich programme of extra-curricular activities, including baking, yoga, Sign and Sing, Boogie Mites, Squiggle While You Wiggle, and gardening. The nursery is actively involved in initiatives such as Eco-Schools and the RHS Gardening Awards, further reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and holistic development.

Our son has been at Millie's House for almost 6 months and we could not be happier with our choice. The staff are very committed to creating a warm, welcoming and safe environment for the children in their care so that I have no worries when dropping off my son each morning. He has already learnt so
much and is quickly developing his independence. A big shout out goes to Mira who has created such a lovely bond with our son it's heart warming to see how happy he is whilst he's there. The food prepared is of an exceptional standard and they offer a wide range of activities to engage the children. I would highly recommend Millie's House to any parent currently trying to decide upon a nursery for their child.

Our daughter has been at Millie's House Boatman's Court for nearly a year and we are really pleased with the staff and nursery overall. The team have always been kind and welcoming, supportive and extremely attentive to our daughter and she really enjoys her days there. The nursery itself is great,
very clean and well set up with lots of fun activities for the children (both indoor and outdoor) supporting their development. Our daughter has learnt a huge amount there and we feel completely confident that she gets all the attention and engagement that she needs. We are very grateful to the staff and for our experience with the nursery, it has made returning to work far easier knowing that she's having a great time and so well looked after. Would highly recommend!

Both my boys joined Millie's Boatman's when it opened in January 2025. The eldest loved the nursery but is now at school but the youngest is still at Millie's and absolutely loves it. The staff are great and they are always thinking of new ideas / creative games and activities. The nursery has also
been great at accommodating dietary requirements. Would definitely recommend.

Our little boy started here in January and we are so pleased with our decision to send him to Millies House. This nursery is brilliant, the staff are lovely, they go above and beyond. The setting is brand new and pristine with lots of toys and sensory areas. The food offering is fantastic, with everything
made on site by the chef, and healthy balanced options like smoothies in the afternoon. Our little boy is settling in so well, and there are also only a few other children in his class, which we really love as it means all the children get lots of extra care and attention and the team really get to know them. He has learned so much too! We love that they take the children out in the local area with the buggy bus, and there is a little garden. They do so many activities with them every day - I know my little boy is in good hands with the team when I'm working, it's made the transition so much easier, and he comes home really happy. I would highly recommend this great nursery in Putney!

Our daughter joined the nursery in October after a year at another local nursery. We are really happy with the overall experience so far! She's very happy going in every day and happy when we pick her up. The nursery has loads of space, an outdoor play area and lovely toys and facilities.Our daughter's
toddler room teacher is absolutely lovely! We couldn't ask for a better teacher :)
Would really recommend to other parents looking for a great education and a happy place to leave their child.

Our little boy has been at Millies House for just over a month now and we couldn't be happier. The staff are incredibly loving and caring and put so much effort into the daily needs and activities of the babies. We really feel like he is being well looked after. The nursery is purpose built and brand
new with a large variety of toys and play areas, plus a small garden. The fact that its purpose built makes it particularly safe and hygienic for all of the kids. Food is varied and made fresh at the nursery. Overall, we really recommend the nursery and are very happy to have our little boy there.

Kerrie Elliott

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2022

Kerrie is the Manager of Millie’s House at Boatman’s Court, Putney, having stepped into the role in March 2025. She joined the Millie’s House family as Deputy Manager at our Fulham Palace branch in 2022, before moving to Fulham Reach in 2024. She has worked in childcare since 2014, starting off as a student while getting her Level 3 qualification in childcare and education in 2016. She then became a nursery practitioner and progressed to senior practitioner, room leader and then to management roles. Kerrie has wanted to work with children since she was a child herself and believes the early years are the most important. She loves seeing all the milestones and being a part of every child’s journey.


Outside of work, Kerrie enjoys reading and music, and spending time with her son and family.

Reece joined Millie’s House at Boatman’s Court, Putney as Deputy Manager in July 2025. His career spans a diverse range of roles across the private, public, and charity sectors, including work in schools, nurseries, children’s homes, health visiting teams, and with the NSPCC. He has worked with children of all ages, supporting their development through the EYFS, and mentoring staff to deliver the highest quality care and education. He is passionate about creating environments where children can thrive in places where curiosity, creativity, and confidence grow. He is also committed to ensuring that our nursery is inclusive and nurturing, with strong safeguarding practices and a real focus on wellbeing for both children and staff.
