Wetherby House Montessori Kensal Rise

Regina discovered her passion for a career in Early Years as a young mother wanting to understand her child's brain development and how to care for him effectively. She has completed several childcare courses and a BA Honours in Childcare. This experience sparked her desire to support children, and since then, she has dedicated over 30 years to working in early years education, witnessing many changes in the sector along the way.

Regina has a strong passion for learning through play, which is a joy she continues to embrace as an adult.

Throughout her career in early years, she has come to appreciate how crucial the first seven years of a child's life are and how vital this period is for their lifelong learning and development.

In her personal time, Regina enjoys cooking, nurturing her house plants, and taking long walks, which helps her recharge and stay connected to nature.

Mariam started at Wetherby as an apprentice, progressing to the preschool room leader, and now the Nursery Deputy Manager.

She is truly passionate about the Montessori Curriculum and observing the children develop and flourish whilst engaging with the materials really sparks joy.
