The Villages Preschool is surrounded by farmland and the rural setting offer a number of unique benefits. Funding & Fees

We offer free funding for two, three and four year old's for 15/30 hours. Eligible working parents can access up to 30 hours of free childcare per week for children up to the age of 4 years, with a universal 15-hour offer for all 3- and 4-year-olds.
Additional hours are charged at:
£8 per hour for two year old's
£7 per hour for 3/4 years old's

You can also combine funding with Tax-Free Childcare to make things even more affordable. We also offer two ways to use your funding; (9am-3pm with no additional fees to pay, or if you need the longer days, we offer a 8am-4pm).

The pre school is brilliant. My daughter loves it there, she cannot wait to go and talks about it all the time. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Always smiling and giving praise. Facilities are great.

Our son has just finished three wonderful years here, and it has been amazing to watch him grow in confidence and make so many lovely friends. He has loved Forest School, cooking, learning new songs, and story time. The staff are caring, supportive, and create such a happy, nurturing environment. Our youngest son has just started, and we are looking forward to watching him grow and thrive here too. We are grateful for everything they've done and would highly recommend them to any family.

I pick my 3 year old grand daughter up every Friday and she is so happy when she comes out , telling me everything she has done with her friends. We play a musical C.D going home and she always says I know this one Grandma we sing it at pre school, I think everyone is very kind and caring and it's a very happy environment to be involved in. The staff seem to get involved with the children on a one to one basis , they often comment on what we will be having for lunch , so my Grand daughter is listened to. I have noticed when the children come out , they are very chatty and have obviously had a great time . I have only seen some of the crafts and pictures which have been brought home , but they are always what is currently going on , England World Cup as an example and cards for Father's Day.

Overall Experience
Our child has happily attended The Villages for the past 2 years and we couldn't be happier with our experience. It has a lovely, homely feel and is such a fun, engaging environment where every child is really known as an individual. Being a smaller Nursery means the care feels really personal, and the friendly staff genuinely take the time to get to know each child.
The outdoor space is small but its perfect for little ones to explore and have little adventures. The Forest school sessions are brilliant too and make the most of being outdoors whatever the weather!
Most importantly they get the basics right. It's a caring, nurturing place where my child is happy, confident and well prepared for starting school. You can tell everyone really cares.

And as an added bonus... it's great value for money too....

My daughter attended The Villages Preschool. She started very shy and nervous, and with the kindness and support from staff and other children, over the last couple of years she's come out of her shell, gained confidence, and joins is so much more. She'd come home from preschool and during bedtime she's sing me songs that she'd heard and learnt during the day! It's was so beautiful to see her enjoying being there everyday. She'd wake up in the morning and ask what she'll be doing that day, and when I said preschool, she'd let out the most wonderful little cheer! Thank you Villages for giving my daughter the best possible step up to primary school.

We couldn't be happier with The Villages! The staff are incredibly caring, patient, and dedicated to helping every child thrive. The learning environment is warm, safe, and engaging, with a wonderful balance of educational activities and creative play. Our child has grown so much in confidence, social skills, and independence since starting here, and they look forward to going every day. Communication with parents is excellent, and it's clear that the team genuinely cares about each child. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. They have been absolutely amazing with both of my shy children, helping them build their confidence and develop their social skills.
As an overprotective parent, it meant so much to find a nursery and a team of staff that I genuinely trusted. They treated us like family rather than just another child attending their nursery, and that made all the difference.

I can't thank Katie enough for everything she has done for both of my children. Her kindness, patience, and support have had such a positive impact on our family, and we will always be grateful.

My daughter has been attending The Villages for over a year, having started when she was two, and I honestly can't recommend it highly enough.
Every member of staff is incredibly kind, caring, and welcoming. The setting is in a beautiful rural location and provides a calm, nurturing environment.

My little girl absolutely loves going, and it's wonderful to know she's spending her days learning and having so much fun.
