  • Early Years Entitlement offer
At Corby Glen Preschool we use a method which makes it easy for parents to access funded hours, but that is also sustainable for us so we can maintain quality and future investment.
All children become eligible for the Universal Government funding (15 hours term time) the term after their 3rd birthday.
We accept 2 year old funding, there are strict criteria on this and you will be informed by Lincolnshire county council if you are Eligible.
Funded Childcare for Working Parents (30 hours for 3 years olds and 9 months from September 2025) has strict criteria - essentially if you BOTH earn between 16 hours a week at NLW and £100,000pa.
If you are eligible for 15 Hours Funding:
We will be utilising a stretched offer, as we are open all year round. This means you will receive the same number of funded hours, but spread over 47.5 weeks, resulting in 12 hours per week. These hours can be taken over two days, from 9 AM to 3 PM.
If you are eligible for 30 Hours Funding, you have two options:
    Option A
Stretched Offer: This allows you to spread your funding over 47.5 weeks, providing you with
24 hours of funded sessions per week. These hours can be taken over three days, either
    from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM, or 4 days 9AM - 3PM.
    Option B
Standard Offer: This option provides you with 30 hours of funding over 38 weeks. It can be
taken over a maximum of four days, with a minimum of 7.5 hours per day.

    30 hours funding
If you are Eligible for 30 hours of childcare and choose option A (Stretched) we ask for a weekly Early years supplement charge of £18
If you are Eligible for 30 hours of childcare and choose option B (term time) we ask for a weekly Early years supplement charge of £22.50
If you are Eligible for 15 hours of childcare (12 hours a week stretched), we ask for a weekly supplement charge of £9

We will not charge our funded children that receive EYPP the Early years funding supplement charge.

I highly recommend Corby Glen Preschool. The team are so lovely - calm, creative and great with the children. My son loves it there. They really get to know his likes and dislikes and he's always learning or experiencing something new. It's a great size for him (he's almost 2 now) as he's been able
to mix with children of different ages in the lovely open plan space, and they get outside every day too.

What a wonderful nursery Corby Glen Pre School is! My child is at the pre-school and is thriving. The ladies are amazing, you couldn't wish for better people to look after your children. They are tailoring learning to help him develop at his own rate and he comes home showing us all his new skills and
learning. He absolutely loves the nursery, everyday asking if he can stay longer!

My daughter started here over 2 years ago before starting primary, now my son is going there. They both love going there! They have always been given the extra support that they've both needed. Staff go above and beyond to help them achieve their goals. Staff communication is amazing, know what little
one has been doing during the day and how he has been. Staff are so friendly and kind. Overall an amazing setting for children who enjoy free play and outdoor activities!

We can't express enough just how wonderful this setting is and how much it has positively impacted our lives and those of our children! The staff are incredible: friendly, caring, personable, efficient, professional and hard-working. Both of my children (one being Autistic, non-verbal and needing additional
care) have made fantastic relationships with the staff where they feel safe and happy, and, in turn, the setting has supported in their development tremendously! It is a lovely, welcoming space for the children with access to outdoor provisions, including forest school. We couldn't be more grateful, knowing that our children are getting the best start in life!

The pre-school is amazing, helps as much as they can when needed and support you and your child as much as they can. All staff are helpful and kind and my child loves attending such a good pre-school. They have been a massive help for me and my child couldn't recommend them enough, just amazing.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.500)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.500) out of 10 for Corby Glen Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Corby Glen Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (60 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Corby Glen Preschool is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 24 number of registered child places is 4.8, which has been reached with 5 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
