The staff are very friendly and attentive, my granddaughter has thrived at this preschool. My granddaughter was very shy and found it hard to talk to children her age , Abacus really brought her out of her shell. I couldn't have choose a better school for her to start her education.

My daughter has attended this preschool since 2024 and absolutely loves it. The staff are caring, attentive, and supportive, creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive. The activities are always engaging and educational, covering everything from nature and science topics to gardening, cooking, baking, and creative play. The preschool also does a fantastic job helping children develop social and emotional skills, encouraging them to talk about and understand their feelings. Mila is always excited to go and comes home full of stories about her day. We couldn't be happier with the care, dedication, and enthusiasm shown by the whole team. Highly recommended!

The staff are amazing. My older son who is 5 with autism and additional needs first started here. The preschool were very supportive and the reason we got lots of support and a quick diagnosis. My 3 year old now attends Abacus and has done so since he was 2. He loves the staff and all the children. In my opinion it's a home from home. A very stimulating and inclusive environment where every individual matters and is encouraged to grown and develop. My son now loves cooking and growing vegetables and plants, just some of the activities he does at Abacus. The communication from the staff is great and the app allows you to recieve up to date info and up to date development info and photos of your child. Can not recommend them enough

My son loves this nursery. He is coming along brilliantly and gets upset when it's the weekend because he can't go. Highly recommend. Everyone that works there is amazing and great with the children. Our team are very passionate and creative with extending children's learning and very imaginative with the activities they provide.
She has grown so much in not just her education but her confidence. When she began at Abacus she could only say a few words, was very shy and timid. To now starting school in september, being the most outgoing, confident, content and happy child hitting every milestone with ease.
They have supported not only my child but ourselves as a family.

All staff are amazing and so easy to chat to and approach, staff are always around to help and offer support. Abacus Emersons was especially helpful when my eldest had to be on hospital for a while when my younger child was due to start, they were very accommodating when having to change things last minute and gave my youngest extra support due to the tricky time at home. I have always loved abacus and even with a 7 year age gap between my children - my youngest was always going to go to abacus when she was the right age. I now have another child who will also attend Abacus when she is 2.
We love the set up at abacus and that they mix the age groups. There are always lots s of activities on offer during th day and plenty of outdoor space for the children. My daughter always comes home from preschool having had a great time.
We have loved having you with us as a family and look forward to welcoming the next one.
My daughter has attended Abacus Emersons Green since she was 2. The nursery building itself is great and the staff are beyond brilliant! Their 'outstanding' at OFSTED didn't not come as a surprise. Would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery!

Meet the Team (1)
Marnie is the Pre-School Manager at Abacus Pre-School @ Emersons Green. My name is Marnie Tucker, and I am the Manager of Abacus Pre-School at Emersons Green. I joined Abacus in 2022, bringing with me over 16 years of experience working in the Early Years sector with children from birth to five years old.
I am a dedicated and passionate manager who is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can learn, develop, and reach their full potential. I believe that children thrive when they feel valued, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive knowledge of child development, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), safeguarding, and inclusive practice. I have successfully supported children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through engaging, child-centred learning experiences that foster confidence, curiosity, and independence.
Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues is at the heart of my approach. I recognise the importance of working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child. My experience has enabled me to confidently observe, assess, and plan for individual learning needs while promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the setting.
I take great pride in leading a team that creates a welcoming and inspiring environment where children can flourish and develop the skills they need for future learning and life. After more than 16 years in the Early Years sector, I remain enthusiastic about supporting young children during these crucial stages of development and making a positive difference in their lives every day.
