I have worked in childcare for over 25 years and established Abacus Preschool 23 years ago with my business partner, Nicky.

I have recently taken sole ownership of the company following Nicky's retirement last year.

My qualifications include Level 3 and 4 in Early Years and Level 5 in Leadership & Management.

I am a strong believer that every child deserves the best start in life and equal opportunities.

I aim to create warm, welcoming and enabling learning environments, focusing heavily on every child feeling safe, nurtured and secure.

I am Mum of two adult children and have a rather lively Labrador puppy who you wil see me walking regularly.

I enjoy strength training, Hyrox simulation classes and reformer Pilates. I'm also a big foodie and enjoy socialising with my friends. Read less

. I joined Abacus in 2022, bringing with me over 16 years of experience working in the Early Years sector with children from birth to five years old.

I am a dedicated and passionate manager who is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can learn, develop, and reach their full potential. I believe that children thrive when they feel valued, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive knowledge of child development, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), safeguarding, and inclusive practice. I have successfully supported children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through engaging, child-centred learning experiences that foster confidence, curiosity, and independence.

Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues is at the heart of my approach. I recognise the importance of working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child. My experience has enabled me to confidently observe, assess, and plan for individual learning needs while promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the setting.

I take great pride in leading a team that creates a welcoming and inspiring environment where children can flourish and develop the skills they need for future learning and life. I have worked for Abacus for over 10 years and have worked in all of our Abacus settings. I currently hold a Level 3 NNEB qualification in childcare and have over 20 years' experience working with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

I also hold my Level 3 SENCO qualification and have a passion for supporting all children to develop their individual skills.

I enjoy bringing lots of creative activities for children to explore and learn from.

I am a wife and mum to adult twin girls and a crazy Spaniel. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and creating wonderful memories. Read less

I have worked at Abacus Preschool since 2023 and have over 5 years of preschool experience.

I have previously worked with children from Reception to Year 6 within classroom settings and outdoors, teaching Forest School.

I am a Level 3 qualified Forest School Leader and look forward to extending your children's knowledge and understanding of the world through outdoor experiences.

I am a qualified Level 2 practitioner and soon-to-be Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner.
