Step Start Fyfield

Our toddler has been attending StepStart since October 2025, and we could not be more pleased with the team, the environment and how well our son is looked after. He struggled to settle at first but the team in his room were SO supportive, responsive and did everything they could to get him used to this new environment. After just a month or two, he was like a different child and is now so so happy there, has made lovely friends, has such a good relationship with the teachers in his room and is learning new skills rapidly. He also has a dairy and soy allergy and I cannot fault the nursery for how well they handle it. We could not ask for a better nursery and feel so lucky to have found one we love so much.

My daughter started at the step start in April and the transition has been incredible. Drop offs were very emotional, but her room leader knew exactly what to do to win her over! I have to make a special mention to her room leader because she quickly became my daughter's favourite person and the relationship they have is really special. But every staff member in her room is so attentive and she just adores them all. The communication from the nursery as a whole is amazing and I never have to worry. She always comes home smiling from ear to ear.

We moved our son to Step Start in November and we couldn't be happier of the care he receives. He had a lot of medical issues and the nursery always administer this ontime. He LOVES coming in and seeing his teachers. They treat him with exceptional care, making sure he's clean. We get daily observations so we know what areas he needs to focus on so we can support this at home. We are so happy with the care he receives and couldn't fault the staff enough! Thank you!!

Step Start fyfield has been amazing. I have children in 2 different rooms. We had a rocky start but since they started a little less than a year ago both my children have come such a long way. They are both a lot more confident and my eldest can bow dress and undress herself. She's also able to write her own name with a little help. If we have any concerns or questions any of the staff members are more than happy to help or they work with you to help change or fix any of these concerns. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

My son has attended this nursery since he was 10 months old and is now 3, and I honestly cannot fault it. The staff are absolutely amazing and create such a warm, personal environment where every child is truly known and cared for. The routine and structure they follow are brilliant, and even breakfast feels like a mini all-inclusive hotel experience!

They have played such a huge part in my son's development. His manners are excellent because they consistently encourage kindness, politeness, and independence. They don't just "watch" the children - they genuinely teach them and prepare them for school in every aspect, from getting dressed and putting coats on to lining up and following routines.

The staff are always kind, caring, and welcoming - they truly make you feel at home. It's reassuring to know she is in such a warm and supportive environment every day.

Our daughter moved to Step Start from another nursery she was very happy at so we were understandably anxious, however she has settled in so well and always has a good day at nursery. We love seeing photos through the app of what she has been up to, the nursery organises lots of fun and educational activities throughout the day. My little one has been going to Step Start Fyfield since it opened and I have nothing but positive words to say about it! Everything gets a 10 out of 10 from me - to the day to day activities, great team, support network & great environment. My son has been part of step start ongar since it opened and we couldn't be happier to have him in there. He has gone from strength to strength in there from being a confident speaker in front of his class to independently counting and learning the alphabet. We are kept updated on the app throughout the day to see what he has eaten and a detailed review of his day at the end of each day. We will be sad to leave Step Start when he goes off to big school in September as he is very happy and settled in his nursery environment.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for a year now and we are so happy with it. She really thrives there and it has been fantastic for her development. The staff and management are brilliant and so helpful, we have had no problems. It's also extremely clean. The app they use is great so we can see how our daughters day is going, it's frequently updated and make us feel comfortable going to work knowing she is happy and well looked after.

They greet us with a smile every morning and my daughter hates going home! Great choice of activities to keep her busy and occupied and she has learnt so much already.

Absolutely love this nursery! The staff are well trained and my daughter absolutely loves going! They update me when she is there with what she has eaten and done on the app which is great but overall we as a family really love it here! I just want to say thank you to the staff there, you are all so brilliant and I feel lucky to have found a gem of a nursery!
