Blackberries Childcare Group – Corby (Blackberry House Day Nursery & Forest School) is a purpose-built, modern early years setting located in the historic Old Village of Corby. Designed to provide a warm, stimulating, and nurturing environment, the nursery supports children aged 0–5 in developing the confidence, skills, and curiosity needed for a successful start in life.

The setting offers dedicated baby, toddler, and pre-school units, each carefully tailored to meet the developmental needs of every age group. From calm, caring baby rooms with individualised routines to engaging toddler and pre-school environments rich in learning opportunities, children benefit from a structured yet flexible approach aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

A key feature of the Corby nursery is its onsite Forest School and extensive outdoor play areas, encouraging children to explore, take risks, and develop a strong connection with nature. This outdoor learning approach is combined with a comprehensive school readiness programme, developed by qualified educators to support children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development as they prepare for their next stage.

The setting is well-equipped with dedicated sleep spaces, age-appropriate resources, and thoughtfully designed rooms that promote both independence and creativity. Strong partnerships with parents are supported through a nursery app, providing real-time updates and ensuring families remain fully involved in their child’s development.

With a highly trained team, a focus on individualised care, and a commitment to high-quality early years education, the Corby nursery provides a safe, enriching, and inspiring environment where every child is supported to thrive.

Blackberries is the most amazing nursery in every way. The indoor rooms are spacious and full of lots of activities and the outdoor space is huge. They spend a lot of time outside and they always have so many new things for the children to explore. My son is in the baby room and started just before
his 1st birthday and loves it here. All the staff are so attentive and drop offs and picks ups alike are great. They take time to get to know each child and at pick up you will see lots of children wanting to stay and go back in which just shows how much they love it here.

My little one has an allergy and they are so on top of it, they even call me every few months to check on how he is doing with the milk ladder so they can support.

Everyday you are updated on the app whether it's a nappy change, food update or sleep. The best bit is the snapshot where they sent you photos, a write up and then where your build is hitting milestones developmentally.

Highly recommend!!

Our daughter absolutely loves going to Blackberries. From the very beginning, the staff made her feel comfortable and helped her settle in quickly. As first-time parents, we've really appreciated how they've supported not just her, but us as well, keeping us informed through their app and providing
thorough handovers each day. After just four months, she eagerly runs in as soon as the door opens, excited to see her key workers. They've also been fantastic in supporting our daughter's transition to solid foods and the progress we've seen in her development since starting nursery has been incredible. We would recommend Blackberries without hesitation to any prospective or new parents.

A lovely nursery with caring staff and a great atmosphere, This nursery provides a great balance of fun and learning. I chose this nursery for my boy because he loves the outdoors and having the forest school is a great opportunity for him to learn about nature and the outdoors.

What an incredible nursery! The staff are absolutely amazing! My child has been here for 1.5 years and will be 3 in the next couple of months. She has came on leaps and bounds since attending nursery. She started off the most shy little girl but she has become so confident with the help of blackberry
house day nursery and all the staff. She can recognise letters and numbers, she sings the alphabet along with many other songs. The forest school is a great addition knowing she is getting plenty of time outdoors and learning at the same time. The nursery offer so many activities and each week she learns and explore different topics. Recently they have done doctors, hairdressers, dentists, police and fire service to name a few. If you are looking for a nursery for your child, please consider blackberry house day nursery. I wouldn't send my daughter anywhere else. Thankyou Blackberry Nursery and to all the staff for everything youve done for my daughter. Outstanding care from all.

We absolutely love Blackberry House Day Nursery & Forest School (Corby). I moved my eldest from another setting because the opportunity for outdoor natural play is just immense. Their garden is amazing and the staff seem to love getting involved with the children's interests, making them excited about
the world around them. My youngest then started at Blackberries and from day 1 she went in and came out with smiles (at just 8 months old too!) The baby room staff are so lovely and I'm so glad I made the move to Blackberries.

I cannot express how grateful I am for Blackberry House Day Nursery & Forest School and their incredible staff. From the moment my daughter started attending, I knew I had made the right choice. She is absolutely thriving here and is always so happy to go to nursery each day.
As a parent, it brings
me immense peace of mind knowing that I can leave my daughter in such caring and capable hands. The environment is not only clean and well-maintained but also spacious and interactive, providing the perfect setting for my child's development.
I am continually amazed at how much my daughter has learned already. At just 3 years old, she can count and recognise the alphabet! This is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the staff. I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to grow and learn.
Thank you, Blackberry Nursery, for creating such a nurturing atmosphere. I truly appreciate everything you do!

My little girl started in January, it’s mid-February now and the difference in her confidence, her speech just her overall self is incredible, as always it’s daunting leaving your child for the first time but I can honestly say I felt so at ease leaving her in the most safe warm and loving hands of
the nursery staff.
Every single staff member is so lovely and friendly and my daughter has made some wonderful connections with them already.
She absolutely loves coming to nursery in the mornings and it’s always her favourite days of the week.
You should be very proud of the space you’ve created, I can see it being such a popular place for years to come with children having such wonderful experiences. 100000/10 Thank you!

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.855 for Blackberry House Day Nursery & Forest School (Corby) is calculated as follows: ( (71 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.855
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.841 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Blackberry House Day Nursery & Forest School (Corby) is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 145 number of registered child places is 29. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 29 = 0.241
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
