My baby started very young and I was very nervous, but I was over the moon seeing him go into the setting happy and ready to play and interact with his peers and carers. The staffs are very friendly and I love the updates throughout the day. Can't wait to see him blossom and grow at Purple Jay !

Whenever I have been to the nursery the staff have been welcoming and helpful. My granddaughter has always looked happy and well-occupied. The other children in the room seemed settled at the time I was present.

Amazing nursery. All the staff are lovely and welcomed my daughter and helped her settle in really quickly. It's so nice to see kids getting up to lots of fun activities. Communication is also great, we are always kept updated.

Mary has been in childcare for 13 years. In that time she has progressed from nursery cook all the way up to senior manager.
Her past 8 years have been in management and she’s enjoyed having a team to support and progress, supporting their learning and development so they can grow.
Her first experience in childcare was at the “Early Year Alliance” where, as a parent, she took an active role in ensuring the staff were fully trained in administering Adrenalin pens.
This experience got her more involved with the nursery, progressing further in it and gaining her level 5 qualification in the process! Mary takes pride in developing her own skills and keeping up to date with child development.
Mary started with us as the Nursery Manager at Purple Jay East Dulwich 2 years ago, and more recently has become the Nursery Manager at Purple Jay Lewisham as well as Senior Nursery Manager for the Purple Jay Nurseries group.
