Outdoor learning is a key part of daily life at Lakehouse. I joined Lakehouse in August 2024, and I have enjoyed every bit of working here. I started working in childcare in 2014, working as a bank practitioner in a nursery. Since 2014, I have worked in a wide range of roles, such as a room leader, 1:1 SEN support and deputy manager. I currently hold a BA (Hons) in Early Years Education, which I completed in 2020. My approach to childcare is a child-centred approach, which means that the children are the forefront of my practice and around recognising every child as a unique individual. This approach is followed through into our curriculum and daily practice at Lakehouse. I enjoy working in childcare as no day is the same; it’s always exciting and different. I love to watch the children grow and develop, and in recent years, I have enjoyed watching my team grow in confidence, and this feeds into their practice.
