Back to the Garden’s second beautiful day nursery is situated in the leafy village of Lymm.

With its innovative outdoor Tipi classroom, Reggio inspired curriculum and all-seasons, outdoor learning and exploration space, Back to the Garden is an expertly designed, purpose-built day care setting that focuses on organic, child-led learning through outdoor play and has enjoyed considerable success since the opening of its first site in Broadheath three years ago.

The new Back to the Garden nursery in Lymm is superb and construction is now complete. With places for 90 children, the nursery offers a safe and stimulating environment both inside and out, allowing children to explore, learn, discover and play in a beautifully landscaped garden designed for graduated outdoor challenge.

Setting new standards in post-Covid childcare, Back to the Garden is committed to expansion, taking its conscious approach to childcare to new locations across the North West and beyond. The team is excited to bring the Back to the Garden concept to Lymm and aims to deliver the very best in holistic childcare, based on a natural approach where children spend as much time as possible outside learning actively through outdoor play in the fresh air and developing at their own pace.

Designed by founders of Kidsunlimited, and delivered by the McGoff Group, Back to the Garden Lymm is part of a wider development that also includes a care centre and 45 apartments. A new concept in multi-generation living, the £28.25 million development will bring young and older together to form a thriving new hyperlocal community with proven health and wellbeing benefits for all.

We honestly couldn't be happier with Back to the Garden, it's been such a fantastic experience for both our son and us over the past year. We've seen so much growth in him - not just in his learning, but in his confidence, how he interacts with others, and just his general independence.
One thing we
really love is the app they use to keep us updated throughout the day. It's so reassuring (and lovely!) to see little photos and notes about what he's been up to - from messy play and story time to what he's had for lunch. It helps us feel connected even when we're not with him.
The staff are just brilliant, so kind, patient, and clearly passionate about what they do. It really shows in how happy and settled our son is every day. They've taken the time to really get to know him, and they're always happy to chat and answer any questions we have.
Lastly we love how much time the children spend learning outside, our son absolutely loves it!

My son attends back to the garden lymm. He started there January 25. I was very nervous as a first time mum leaving him, but from the walk round and the settling days I knew he was going to be well looked after. The staff in the baby room couldn't do any more for me or my baby.
The app is fabulous
logs everything he is doing throughout the day from when he goes for a nap and what he has eaten. He has come on so much since starting nursery & that's from the help off the staff! I would highly recommend this amazing setting.

We'd heard great reviews before but the nursery has absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. Every single employee we have met there has been absolutely incredible and so friendly, from the moment you walk through the door at reception to the staff in the kids room, everyone is so great. It is such
a lovely setting and they have amazing toys and activities for the kids but the staff definitely make it.
They let parents go in any time as well.
They are also brilliant during the weaning process, providing suitable purées to our little one who hasn't moved onto solids yet.
Communication is brilliant with constant updates and photos of the little one on the app. Can't recommend this nursery enough.

Our experience at Back To The Garden Childcare - Lymm (baby room) has been excellent. It was a big decision for us to move to another nursery (given our daughter attended a different local nursery for three years) but feel we have absolutely made the right decision and our son has settled in so well.
The team are wonderful, helpful, friendly and genuinely interested in the happiness and development of the children, the ladies in the baby room are a credit to Back To The Garden. Our son has significant allergies requiring an EpiPen, which has caused lots of anxiety for us, as parents, when considering a nursery setting but we have been so impressed with the way in which the whole team, including the chef, have put measures in place to ensure our son's safety and have generally dealt with the whole situation. I can only praise and thank the team for prioritising this and treating it with importance. The nursery is wonderful and we can't recommend it enough!

We moved our child over to Back To The Garden Childcare Lymm from another provider we were having issues with. It was the best decision we ever could have made. All the staff are wonderful and are really invested in my child's happiness and growth. She now absolutely loves going to nursery in the morning
and it's sometimes a struggle to get her to leave! The food that is prepared is healthy and diverse and my daughter loves it. The entire experience has been designed with a lot of thought and care and you feel this when you walk in the door.

My daughter started at Back To The Garden in April. I have been so happy with how she has settled, the team in the baby room have been so accommodating and nurturing towards her and she has built such a wonderful bond with her key person, this is so comforting as a mum. She always has a smile on her
face when I collect. My husband and I absolutely love the app, you get regular updates throughout the day notifying you on sleep, bottles, nappies, what she's eaten at meal times etc, and regular pics/observations, I love checking it. The outdoor space is spectacular, I've never seen anything like it, so many opportunities for learning and risk-taking with their large climbing equipment and outdoor classroom in the teepee, it's just fab! The babies have their own garden area too which I really like, I can't wait for her to get walking and explore even more. Beautiful nursery with amazing staff, couldn't be happier! Would definitely recommend it!

I cannot put into words how pleased we are with our son's progress at Back To The Garden Childcare Lymm. The toddler and preschool teams have nurtured him, considered his interests at every level and worked with us on his fussy eating and now currently - potty training. The wide range of activities
he is involved with is amazing and we are encouraged to extend these activities at home. His speech has come on leaps and bounds along with his overall temperament and attitude. The staff go above and beyond here and are passionate and caring. We couldn't imagine him going anywhere else.

We moved our son to Back To The Garden Childcare in Lymm at the start of 2023 when his previous setting closed down. The entire setting was only built in late 2022 so the first impression is that it is state of the art, from the security to the play area and toys. Everything is new which is great. In
essence we have been so impressed and our son loves it. They have their own chef who does food preparation with the kids and the food choice is great. All the staff are so friendly and there seem to be so many activities every day from yoga to art. The location is away from main roads as well which I prefer. This is our third childcare setting between our 2 children, and I would definitely rank it as the best. I appreciate they are a new setting so looking to make a good impression to locals, but so far they seem excellent and deserve the recognition. Highly recommend.

Just fantastic. After taking the big decision to move our daughter from her previous nursery she has come on leaps and bounds at BTTG! Wonderful to see her confidence growing and she really looks forward to her nursery days now.
The staff are all so warm and friendly and really took the time to get
to know our daughter, they even then incorporate her hobbies/interests into the day's activities!
Lots of outdoor time in the fantastic garden, nutritious, healthy meals cooked every day, we can’t recommend this nursery enough!

From the minute you step into this wonderful nursery, you feel welcomed into a caring, warm environment. My little boy who struggled to settle in his last nursery took no time at all to settle here. All of the staff are kind, attentive and extremely passionate about their practice. Every day the room
is set out centred around the children's interests and then expanded on involving art, drama and role-play. The staff implement learning through play indoors and out which my little one engages with and enjoys all the time. There is a chef which works alongside the children looking at recipes, weighing and measuring food, baking and making smoothies. All the staff work so well together and always give feedback as to what he has done throughout his day as well as communicating through an app with pictures of their activities. The outdoor space is incredible too which can be enjoyed in all weathers. I really cannot say enough how happy I am that I chose here.

We as a family could not be happier with Back To The Garden Lymm. We actually look forward to dropping our son off and seeing him smiling as he waves at the window. Our son always wants to take things he is interested in into nursery and by the end of the day the staff have created really engaging activities
around it. We get to see lots of lovely pictures throughout the day so we know he’s happy and busy.
Every member of staff knows each child well, they really nurture them as individual little people. Everyone is easy to speak to if there’s anything we’re worried about. We’re amazed by the things he learns, the incredible food he eats and how happy he is. We feel so lucky to have found this place, it’s worth every penny for our complete peace of mind.
