The nursery aims to create a safe, welcoming space where children feel respected, included and supported to reach their full potential. Learning environments are designed for different age groups, supporting confidence, independence, creativity and a love of learning.
The baby room provides a calm environment where children are supported through responsive care, sensory play and nurturing relationships. Flexible routines and a keyworker system help children feel secure and settled.
In the toddler room, children develop independence and creativity through indoor and outdoor experiences tailored to their interests and stage of development. Practitioners provide play-based opportunities that support learning.
The 3-5 room promotes child-led learning, allowing children to explore interests, make choices and build confidence through play. Experiences include sensory play, creativity, investigation, natural materials and open-ended activities supporting communication, problem solving and self-expression.
Learning is guided by GIRFEC and SHANARRI wellbeing indicators, ensuring children’s wellbeing and development remain central. Strong partnerships with families support consistency in each child’s learning journey.
Children benefit from a secure outdoor area used as an extension of indoor learning. Outdoor experiences encourage exploration, physical development, creativity and collaborative play while building connection with nature.

Our son has been with Playspaces for over a year now and they have been absolutely brilliant from day one. The staff are really friendly and always give a great update on how our child is progressing and what they got up to that day. Our son loves going to nursery and is always well cared for and well fed. We've seen him come on leaps and bounds in skills and language. As he's in nursery half the week, it's really important to us as parents that the nursery is a good fit and we have been so impressed by everything they do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Playspaces for a nursery based upon our experience.
