The learning environment has been carefully designed to meet the needs of each age group.
Babies have their own dedicated space, while toddlers and preschool children enjoy a larger, flexible environment where they can move freely between activities, make choices and learn alongside peers. Practitioners tailor experiences to each child's development stage, following their interests while encouraging new skills and discoveries.
Outdoor learning is an important part of daily life at Bright Kids Barley Lea. A spacious play area and outdoor classroom provide opportunities for children to investigate, create and stay active throughout the seasons.
Regular walks within the local area and community visits help children build confidence, develop an understanding of the world around them and strengthen their connection with their neighbourhood.
Bright Kids Barley Lea is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, offering flexible and part-time childcare options to support families. Nutritious hot meals are provided daily, and on-site parking makes drop-offs and collections straightforward.
Families are welcome to visit the nursery, meet the team and experience the warm, nurturing environment that supports every child to learn, grow and thrive.

My son loves attending nursery and gets so excited on his days there and that is down to the incredible staff as well as their daily activities. Communication with the nursery is excellent and I know I can call whenever I need to and vice versa they call me if there is anything to clarify.

I have started daycare for my 10-month-old a month back. What I like most about the nursery is ever smiling staff who is always ready to listen to you. In this 1 month, not only my son is settled, but the staff also ensured I settled and felt comfortable and confident for my son. Of course, there were times when I thought his needs were not met, but I can't fault nursery. It's me as a mum, who keeps overthinking my little one. The nursery has a very clean environment, spacious, variety of planned activities to keep little ones busy. Their daily updates via pictures in the app always bring satisfaction that our little ones are doing well.
I appreciate the Bright Kids team and am very thankful to them.

My daughter is always eager to go to the nursery. I also love how the teachers (staff) relate to the kids. You could tell how warm they are to the children. I remember my daughter's settling-in days, they all told me that she didn't even notice that she was in a different environment, I knew immediately it was due to how they made her feel. The teachers are also very attentive and love what they do.
I love the fact they use different activities to teach the kids. I would proudly recommend Bright Kids Barley Lea to anyone. The teachers are thoughtful, considerate and very attentive.

My son loves going to nursery, a clear indication that he is happy at Bright Kids Barley Lea. I am often impressed by the range of activities that the staff provide for the children whenever I check my son's learning log. Staff members at Barley Lea are friendly and attentive. The management are brilliant and professional, but above all, they are compassionate and considerate of individual circumstances. They considered my circumstances when I was unwell and had to request for extra hours on short notice.
Bright Kids Barley Lea is an excellent nursery, with staff who enjoy working with the children and a lot of fun learning activities for children. My son certainly loves his sessions and always looks forward to them.

Sheron has worked in early years for over 14 years and joined the Bright Kids team in July 2022. Throughout her career, she has remained passionate about developing her knowledge and becoming the strongest leader and practitioner she could be.
After completing her Level 3 qualification, she continued her professional development at the University of Warwick, where she achieved a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies before going on to complete her BA Honours degree. This journey strengthened her understanding of how children learn, develop and thrive, while shaping the way she supports both the team and our families.
As Nursery Manager, she is proud to lead a caring and dedicated team who are committed to creating a warm, curious and inspiring environment for every child. Barley Lea sits at the heart of a well-connected community, and building trusted relationships with our children, parents, carers and local families is incredibly important to Sheron.

Jade holds an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and has almost 16 years of experience working in nursery settings. After taking a short break to raise her own three children, she joined the Bright Kids team in October 2022 as a kitchen assistant. However, quickly realised how much she had missed working directly with children and progressed into the nursery rooms, becoming a Senior Practitioner before moving into her current role as Deputy Manager.
One of the things she loves most about Barley Lea is the strong sense of community surrounding the nursery. That the team are passionate about building meaningful relationships with their children, families and local community, creating a place where everyone feels welcomed, valued and included.
