The nursery has its very own priority post box, where the postman visits three times a day, and a very spacious garden that backs onto and overlooks the farmer’s field, ensuring for plenty of fresh countryside air on a daily basis!
The children move freely through all the rooms that are light, spacious, and purposefully organised to create a welcoming, fun and warm atmosphere. The team encourage free movement between the outside area and indoors.
Curious Explorers has a fantastic team of highly qualified, committed staff, providing high quality care for children between the ages of birth and 5 years of age. Staff ensure children's social; personal and communication skills are developed via the nursery's many fun activities and child-led play opportunities.
They do believe children learn so much more by being outside, therefore they have Forest School Sessions throughout the week and encourage lots of outdoor play whatever the weather.
The inhouse cooks plan and prepare healthy, well – balanced and delicious meals for all children to enjoy.
Following on from the owner's teaching background, she ensures that all children are planned for and developed to their best potential at their own pace. An online learning journal tracks each child’s progress and can be accessed by parents and carers.
The Day Care App keeps you in touch with your child even if you are apart.

My daughter has been here since a year old and just graduated from pre school she has loved it all, the staff are fantastic and the children go out regularly to forest school. She loved the cows in the fields behind and was very happy to go to preschool, she built great connections with the staff....

She loved the cows in the fields behind and was very happy to go to preschool, she built great connections with the staff. I really can't fault this nursery and preschool. The manager is always quick to reply to emails and tries her best to accommodate additional requests. My daughter always comes home and tells me about so many activities, her learning has come on such a long way with the teaching they do and support they provide.

My daughter has just finished preschool having started with Curious Explorers Crookham Village when she was one. I can't speak highly enough of the care, support and kindness the Nursery has given over the last three and a half years. The Nursery itself looks out onto fields and the garden between the main building and the preschool cabins is great- full of play equipment and activity zones. The rooms are all bright and welcoming and full of books and toys to entertain and introduce the kids to learning. The meals provided are nutritious and varied. Finally the staff are all wonderful- warm, friendly, professional and experienced. There is also a real culture of supportive learning and development- making sure the children are as ready as they can be for big school. I always felt so happy leaving my daughter in any of the staff's care. I can't recommend Curious Explorers highly enough.
