My daughter loves attending the pre school nursery. She's settled so well and loves the routine, loves the teachers and other students and comes home with so many lovely stories from her day. The school and teachers plan such lovely activities for the children to bring their learning to life such as watching ducklings hatch, arranging for a farmer to come to school with his tractor, arranging for a policeman to come with his police car, a bee keeper with a special suit for them to try, special stay and plays where my daughter is excited to show me where she plays and what she enjoys to do at school. She really has flourished and whilst there is a main focus about learning through play which is key there is also focus on preparing my daughter for reception through phonics sounds which she is excited to show us what she has learnt when she comes home.

My daughter absolutely loves going to school and having all the provisions avaipable to her. We have seen a vast improvement in her learning and development since attending and adores the teachers in the classroom

I would recommend Darrington's nursery to any parent. My eldest daughter thrived here, my middle daughter loves it, and I will certainly be sending my youngest once she turns 3 years old. The staff are friendly and very supportive of the children. The facilities and activities are extensive. I love the "stay and play" sessions that parents are invited to attend. The balance of learning and play in this setting is very constructive to the children's development and setting them up for an easier transition into reception. The core nursery hours (8:40 - 3:15) work for my family, which is considerably cheaper than private nursery options, but the extended hours are available as and when we need them. My children really like the breakfast club which starts from 8:10am, and the school also offer special afterschool clubs (e.g. decorating the Christmas tree, and Christmas party).
