The Yellow Brick Road >YC is a family-owned Private Nursery for ages 6 months to 5 years old. A Breakfast Club and After School facility operates from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm, with school drop-offs and pick-ups available, subject to transport availability. As a partnership nursery with North Ayrshire Council, 30 hours per week 'free' funded hours are offered to all 3-5 aged children and 'eligible' 2 year old children. This amounts to 1140 hours annually and hours are flexible e.g. 8.45am - 2.45pm over 5 days or 8am - 6pm over 3 days. Additional hours can also be catered for by means of a 'wraparound' service.

A Baby Room for 6 months to 2 year old children offers a warm, nurturing environment and a large, newly refurbished 2-3 room facilitates learning through play. A spacious 3-5 room has also been fully refurbished and caters for all curricular areas, preparing children for their journey to school.

16 fully qualified, experienced staff are employed at the nursery, many of whom have worked there for many years. A cook is also employed to provide fresh, healthy, 'home cooking', following Care Inspectorate guidance with regards to breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, as well as morning and afternoon snacks.

Outdoor activities include a popular Pirate Ship and Play Zone, Gardening areas, loose parts play, physical play zone and a newly refurbished outdoor learning portacabin and reading hut.

My son has been attending Yellow Brick Road since he was 11 months old, he is now 2 and a half and I cannot put into words how amazing the nursery is. It has been fantastic for his development - the activites, facilities, learning, love and care he has recieved has been second to none and I cannot thank
the staff and owner Lyn enough. When your child is excited nearly every day to go, as well as referring to the nursery as one of his favourite teachers 'house', it shows the love and nuturing they recieve and it is much more than just a typical nursery setting. It made going back to work as first time Mum much easier than I imagined and I will always recommend them to every Mum I speak too, it really is a brilliant place.

The staff are excellent and my daughter really enjoyed her time at the nursery.
The staff really helped with her development and are very caring. During her time at the nursery, I watched my daughter grow from a shy little girl into a confident big girl.
I would thoroughly recommend the nursery.

My son has been in the nursery since he was a year old and has gone through the baby room, 2-3 and now into his last year in the 3-5s before school next year and he has come on leaps and bounds. He can be very shy and nervous but seeing his confidence grow is amazing and the girls are fantastic at attending
to each child's different needs. Such an amazing holiday club too, they do so much to ensure the kids are learning and kept entertained and have been so flexible in what has been such a hard year for everyone. Couldn't recommend this nursery higher, brilliant place.

My son has attended since he was a year old and has been in the baby and 2-3 room and is now moving up again in August. The girls and owner are great and nothing is a problem. The opening hours and flexibility have been great. The staff have been so accommodating and careful regarding various allergies
and issues. My son has developed in his target areas thanks to nursery (he also walked the week he started) and he loves it there. I can't thank them enough and they have such a good relationship with him.

Amazing nursery staff who are so friendly and welcoming. Have a great range of activities and play areas for the kids. My little girl loves going and always enjoys her days and has come on a great deal since attending. Her speech is amazing and such a social butterfly and I do believe they have helped
contribute to these skills! Highly recommend this nursery.

Our son has been at The Yellow Brick Road nursery for just short of a year now and although we were very apprehensive about it, we have never looked back. He settled relatively quickly even with a few disruptions, due to covid. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and most importantly, great with
the kids. Our son has come on leaps and bounds. He is a totally different wee boy from what he was when he started and that's thanks to the staff helping him gain confidence to come out of his shell. Highly recommend!
