This is the best day nursery and kindergarten in the Glasgow area. I bring my daughter from our home in Kirkintilloch to TGA Milngavie because it is without parrallel. The quality of the environment and staff is second to none. Every single time I have visited I have been able to speak to either the
Head of NK and/or the Head of TGA Milngavie. There is no issue or observation that is not listened to and acted upon. The parent group are fully engaged in the life of TGA Milngavie and the children are all well mannered and well behaved. TGA Milngavie is part of the wider TGA family and with that provides an endless range of opportunities. I would encourage any parent to give TGA Milngavie nursery and kindergarten serious consideration. My younger daughter is already enrolled to join in Jan 2020.

I am particularly impressed with the staff at the nursery. They all have a great understanding and knowledge of each child and seem to teach with enthusiasm and praise which makes learning fun in the class. I am often surprised by the songs and topics that my child comes home with and he is only in
kindergarten. So I can’t wait for him to start P1. It is such a lovely school where it is situated the kids have a lot of outdoor activities and get to explore nature. I feel that with such a close-knit and friendly school my child is safe and happy to attend school every day.

Excellent nursery setting. My daughter loves it here, the children are all happy and well looked after, and spend a lot of time outside playing with loose parts and getting muddy (in waterproofs!) exploring the wonderful Barloch Moor next door. Wide array of activities, from pyjama parties and pirate
themes, to sponsored walks, outdoor theatre performances and incubated eggs in the classroom that children were able to see hatching. The staff are all fantastic, and there is lots of opportunity for parents to get involved with various activities. Highly recommended

Couldn’t be happier with the nursery. My little girl loves it there. Staff are so welcoming and obviously care a great deal about each child. I can’t stress enough how happy I am to leave her there each day as I know she’s really cared for. The nursery is flexible, with excellent provisions for before/after
school care. Parents are regularly updated and invited to watch their child ‘in action’. Healthy foods at snack time. An amazing wee school in a great location. Can’t wait for my other children to attend.

A wonderful environment where my child has been well looked after. Full of great educational resources and a large outdoor space. My son thoroughly enjoys attending the nursery and has come on so much academically. Highly recommend to any parent of 3 to 5 year olds.

The nursery facilities and staff are excellent. The only unfortunate thing is that it is a term time only nursery so for working parents childcare during the school holidays is challenging.

Very warm and caring staff, I cannot fault any one of the team. Nursery/Kindergarten children are included in many of the activities of the big school which my daughter has particularly enjoyed. Children spend a good amount of the time outside exploring the local moor. Activities seem very varies and
appropriate to age and stage of children. Whenever I appear to collect all children appear happy and actively engaged in nursery life. We are relatively new to the nursery but have so far found it to be very warm, inclusive environment which encourages all children to have a go. Very happy with our choice to date.

I would recommend The Glasgow Academy Nursery Milngavie for when your child turns 3 (go before to get your name down in advance). Fabulous school, staff, and a new outdoor learning classroom on Barloch Moor. This hidden gem also is an East Dunbartonshire Partnership nursery so you get funding too (not
many people realise this!). As a parent, you can't fault it! My daughter went and my baby son will be going too. An outstanding place in an idyllic setting. I can't recommend enough.

My two daughters thrived at The Glasgow Academy Nursery in Milngavie. The nurturing, creative, thoughtful, fun environment was ideal, and exactly what I was looking for.
From days out to musical performances, serving parents at a cream tea, lots of playing, reading, and their final tearful graduation,
they enjoyed it all.
As a parent, I was delighted to see them both becoming enthused in class projects, learning to write, taking a joy in reading, and hearing the odd French or Mandarin phrase at home always amazed me.
I was able to get involved with their lending library once a week which was lovely since it gave me time in the playroom.

Both my children attended the nursery and kindergarten at The Glasgow Academy Milngavie for 2 years and I cannot recommended it strongly enough.
The playroom is a very bright and stimulating environment and you know from day 1 that your child is being cared for by staff who genuinely care and your
child is certainly not "just another number".

I particularly liked the focus on learning through both play and more formal education and think it provides a seamless transition to the school which is also on site. The children in the nursery classes interact regularly with children in the p1 - p4 classes and so when it is time for them to move on to p1, it doesn't feel like a huge step at all.

The staff in the nursery are outstanding and genuinely care about your child and their development. They operate an extremely "open door policy" which allows parents to see exactly what is going on in the nursery on a day to day basis. It's also open from 8-6 which is great for working parents.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for nearly a year and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are welcoming, nurturing, and have excellent communication with parents. The activities on offer are super - PE with a specialist teacher, French, and varied and interesting choice of projects
to have fun with and facilitate learning. The playroom is full of activities for the children to enjoy and there are lots of outdoor toys too. A fantastic nursery that's extremely well run. The nursery gives kids a great start!
