We support families in accessing all available government childcare funding to help make high?quality childcare more affordable.

Funding options available:

15 Hours for 2-Year-Olds

For eligible families receiving certain benefits.

15 Hours for All 3 & 4-Year-Olds

Universal entitlement for every child.

30 Hours for Working Parents (3 & 4-Year-Olds)

15 Hours for Babies from 9 Months (Working Parents)

Starts the term after your child turns 9 months old.

  • There is a convenient gated car park located outside of the nursery entrance. The car park gates are automatically open from 7.30am - 9.30am and then again at 3pm - 6pm, if you are arriving at a different time please call to gain access.

Astwood Smiles before/after school and holiday club:

My daughter has been going to Astwood Smiles since October 2014. She has loved every room she has progressed through (baby room, toddler room, pre-school) and now she goes to before and after school club plus the holiday club in the school holidays. She gets excited every morning when she knows she is going to Smiles, she gets to see her friends, she loves the activities they provide and all the staff that look after her. During the holidays the activities have been brilliant and endless, she is kept busy all day and never wants to leave when I pick her up at the end of a day. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who look after her, who know her so well and would do anything to help make her day better. To the nursery manager who is amazing with the children, she knows how to bring out the best in my daughter and always encourages her learning activities. I would highly recommend Smiles nursery.

Overall Experience

Wonderful nursery and holiday club.Caring, professional and well organised. Lovely opportunities and ideas for spontaneous play and guided activities. My children have enjoyed pyjama drama, rhythm time, trips to the nursery allotment and a visit to the local farm in their time there. Holiday club activities are great for school-age children too, den building, visits to the park, board games, arts and crafts and more. But most importantly good quality care, highly recommend for anyone looking for a special place for their child.

My daughter attended Astwood Smiles from 12 months old, she has had the most enriched start to her informal education. The staff are brilliant with the children and the parents and really do care for your children.
The opening hours are perfect, the food is of a good standard, the management are friendly and caring and are always there to listen. Each room offers something different for my daughter, they go outside every day in all weathers and it has a large car park so we can drop off easily.

I would definitely recommend this nursery to friends. I always felt my daughter was in the safest of places. Thank you.

Overall Experience
I have 2 children who have attended Smiles for the last 5 years, in the nursery and holiday club.
Everyone at Smiles are kind, friendly and very caring.
My children love going to Smiles, I picked my daughter up today and she had made a castle with all her friends and she had made a poster, which said: "I love coming to Astwood Smiles, all the teachers are lovely".

This says it all for me.

We will be attending and recommending until my children are too old!

Overall Experience

I picked my daughter up from Astwood Smiles and she had a broken arm. No call from them to advise she had been in an accident, I then had to request they complete an accident form as they had not done one and no call from them the following day to see how she was doing. We never went back.

Overall Experience

My Granddaughter attends Astwood Smiles and has done so since it opened. The staff are amazing with her. She loves going to nursery and loves the range of activities they do, especially the outdoor play and the technology available. I would highly recommend this to parents and grandparents!
