Sunhill Day Nursery Peckham

My daughter loves going to nursery. She loves her peers and her teachers (thats what she tells me). Management & staff are always friendly and happy easy to talk to. The excitement on my daughters face on nursery days tells me all I need to know.

He's now happier, more confident, & never stops chatting!! We are forever grateful to the staff for helping him grow & learn.

They have the right amount of children which is great for the kids. Our son went there and his little sister is currently there and has been there for more than 18 months and she loves it.

My son is two years old and has been at Sunhill for over a year now. Its a very small and friendly nursery. The staff are wonderful and he's been looked after very well in the baby room. I feel very comfortable leaving him with the staff who are very warm and engaging. They take all the children out for a walk in the local area. I noticed how my son always holds my hand when we walk on the pavement, which has been great. They have also helped him develop other skills such as tidying up and playing well with other children well as well as his sounds. There is a strong routine that makes the children feel safe and secure. The leadership team are fantastic and very flexible and helpful. I've found this a great nursery, and there was not a wait time like many of the nurseries in Peckham.

We have been very happy with Sunhill. My eldest daughter has attended for over a year. She is happy, well looked after and has learnt lots of new skills. The staff know all the children by name and there seems to be very low staff turnover (a very good sign!) I feel very comfortable leaving her in their hands. They take all the children out for a walk in the local area twice a day which in my opinion can be better than an outdoor space as she is more streetwise and exhausted from all the walking. They regularly take them to parks and the library, have external sports and Spanish teachers once a week. I feel like the activities are varied and yet there is a strong routine that makes the children feel safe and secure. I know the managers are working on better parent communication and there is a newsletter once a week. My younger daughter will start there next month.

While there isn't an accessible outside play area they take my child out twice daily and have an indoor play area. The chef provides a wide variety of cooked and cold meals for the children with many flavours and fresh ingredients.

Thanks to the nursery managers for creating a great environment at Sunhill Peckham. Our daughter looks forward to attending every day and always comes home with a smile. We appreciate the friendly and honest nursery managers.

There isn't an outside space as such on-site but this isn't a drawback as they regularly take the kids out for walks to various local parks. He loves all the food there too which is a massive bonus as sometimes he is a bit fussy at home. I can wholeheartedly recommend this nursery with no reservations.

Fantastic daycare facilities! My son loves attending the nursery. The introduction process was quick and easy, and the settling sessions made my child feel right at home! My son looks forward to coming to nursery every day! Lovely place and very local.

The staff need better communication within the team, once you tell a staff member important information about your child and request for this to be passed on it never is. They also do not take the afternoon children in the baby room outside for fresh air, one of the staff members told me this herself and I was extremely displeased. When I would ask what my daughter had eaten, I was told that they don’t give the babies food but snacks in the afternoon but when speaking to another staff member, I was told the opposite. Communication is terrible at this nursery and needs to be worked on.

Very homely atmosphere for children. My child is now 15 months old, and he learned a lot of skills from the nursery since he started. The staff are lovely and treat the babies like their own. We are very happy we found this nursery; it's a "home away from home" for our child. Very grateful to all the staff for looking after our child. You are all wonderful; you should all be proud of what you do for the children.

Lovely staff and nurturing to the children, excellent baby room. The facilities are great, with excellent learning tools and toys for the children. No outside space, but the local parks are utilised on a regular basis.

An excellent nursery and lovely staff. Our son is 18 months and absolutely loves it; he runs in through the door every morning without looking back! The staff really care and take the time to get to know the child. Would definitely recommend.

The weekly updates and daily updates are great, plus I feel supported in my child’s development both in pre-school and at home. I’m confident my child will be ready for school because of the amazing support and guidance received by the Sunhill team.

Unclear in regards to payment. I often explained my concern about my son's meals, but I had no response. My son is happy with the carers and I am satisfied with his learning, honestly. I was upset once I had to pay ten pounds for ten minutes late, even if I collect my son always later than the drop-off time. I lost lots of money every month as there was a misunderstanding at the time of signing the contract.

My son has attended this nursery since he was one, and we all love it. He skips in, in the mornings, and every day he tells us he has had a great day. The staff are amazing - it really feels like they care about the kids, and they go above and beyond. We were initially unsure because of the lack of outdoor space, but they do take the kids out regularly to local parks or for walks. My son especially loves the trips to the train station and the Chinese supermarket.

Both my children have attended Sunhill and are very happy there. The staff greet the children with happy smiling faces every morning, and they are so happy to go in every morning. The staff are extremely caring, understanding and loving toward the children. We are enjoying the use of the app and seeing a little more about their days. The only downside for us is there is no outside space on site, but the team do their best to take the children outside every day, and they are creative with their activities.

The curriculum and way of learning are varied, and I particularly like that they take into account the different cultures and hobbies of the children to ensure things are interesting and fun.

Overall, we are so happy with the flexibility of having a term-time only place, and the lovely staff make it such a positive experience.
