My son has been attending this nursery for 5 months now, since just after he turned 1 year old when I went back to work. He absolutely LOVES attending Little Tulips and has developed a strong bond with his key carers there. They do lots of different activities with the children, wide variety of meals, and keep parents updated via an app. My son has developed massively with his speech etc since he's been going to nursery. All the staff are friendly and helpful and they've been flexible with me booking extra sessions when needed.

Thank you for your kind comments - I am glad he has connected with his carers and loves coming to nursery, the staff work hard to ensure children and parents' convenience are attended to.

Requires improvement! Majority of the staff are lovely but I noticed they are not as attentive with the younger children there. There was a little boy must have been about 1 year old who was crying for a long time. One of the members of staff just ignored him like nothing happened. The same member of staff told another child “you’re not that special” which I found a bit alarming. The nursery lacks any care of the play rooms and they can do with a makeover. The rooms are always dark and a bit dingy. The nursery needs to take care of the front reception. There are piles of nappy packs outside and it seems the staff can’t be bothered to organise their stuff. If the staff take care of the nursery and improve how they respond to children I’m sure it will receive a better rating.

We take the care and attentiveness of our staff very seriously. The incident you described appears to involve a single staff member and does not reflect our standards. We will investigate this matter and take any necessary corrective measures to ensure all children receive the care and respect they...

Our son has attended Little Tulips Day Nursery since October 2021 and he absolutely loves it. As parents, we couldn't be happier with the care, attention, and love that our child receives at Little Tulips. My sister recommended the nursery to me and my husband as our son was previously enrolled with a different nursery. After moving our son from a previous nursery (which he attended for 5 months), due to lack of transparency and level of care, our only regret is that we didn't move our son to Little Tulips sooner. He is now so much happier in his new setting. The staff are so lovely and caring and communicate honestly with us, and our son has an amazing bond with all of the carers in the setting, especially with his key worker and secondary key worker. His development has skyrocketed since he has been at Little Tulips and we put this down to the attention and focus the staff give him whilst in their care. I would highly recommend Little Tulips without hesitation to any parent!

I cannot say enough good things about this fantastic nursery. It really is a home-from-home for my children. The staff are amazing. We looked at so many nurseries where the staff looked like they didn't want to be there but the whole team are fully engaged, positive, friendly and you get a sense of a family-vibe among them. The Directors are approachable, transparent and very reasonable. I have a three year old and a one year old and they both took to the nursery really well. The whole team have been great regarding all things Covid. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

Both my children go to Little Tulips Nursery, in Welwyn Garden City. We love the nursery and all the workers there. They all are very kind and caring and take real attention to each child. We get a detailed summary of activities, food, sleep patterns for the younger child. Both our children get very excited about going to nursery and don't want to leave when we pick them up - which is a real testament to the fun activities that they get to do. Value for money is excellent. I would highly recommend Little Tulips Nursery.

This nursery was bought in February 2018, and the new owners renamed it Little Tulips. The Ofsted report Good is from the previous nursery visited in July 2017. The reason why we couldn’t take my child anymore is that the staff didn’t change my child’s nappy during the 5-hour session. The nursery supplies supermarket brand nappies and we picked him up with the heavy wet pull up branded nappy we sent him in in the morning, plus an inner leg rash. The explanation, usual nappies were out of stock and the replacement nappies were exactly the same brand and size as my child uses. We contacted friends that afternoon and all their children were wearing the supermarket's own brand that day.

Admin and care information are very poor, after lockdown we returned in August we asked verbally twice and via email who is his new carer?

The website says healthy meals, once my child was given for dinner, toast and spaghetti hoops tin pasta. The weekly menu is not shown to parents printed or email.

Reply from Sukaina Jafferali, Director at Little Tulips Day Nursery

We are sorry you feel that way about your experience. During Covid times we have often had issues with suppliers and online delivery slots, but we have tried to manage and we make do with different nappy brands on occasion. Menus are displayed prominently on the noticeboard at the entrance, and the carers are always known to the parents.

Having sent my son to one nursery and not been happy with the standards, I pulled him out after 3 weeks and sent him to Little Tulips by recommendation of a friend. It was the best decision we made. From day one the communication has been amazing, and my son absolutely loves going there. I look forward to the days he goes because I know how much fun he has there. I cannot praise the staff enough!

We have had a very positive experience with Little Tulips with both our children. First, our daughter had a great time for 2.5 years before going to school. As she was full-time there, the nursery staff were crucial for her development - from potty training, learning and social awareness to getting ready for school. She graduated a confident little person from there and still keeps fond memories of the time she spent there. Now, my son is at the nursery full time. He started when he was 11 months and settled well very quickly. He has some health issues to start with that all the staff were very considerate and caring for. He has special dietary requirements which the nursery are very good catering for and considerate of his overall health. He is developing well, making friends and going there with a smile and without hesitation every morning. Management and staff have been excellent continuing providing great care throughout the difficult 2020!

I can highly recommend Banana Moon as I have found them to be very respectful of all the worries a mother has when leaving their child. They were on hand to answer any questions I had, offered multiple settling in sessions to make sure my daughter was happy and that they had the time to get to know her. She is stimulated and happy to be there. Her key worker is approachable and clearly passionate and interested in my child's welfare. We are very happy parents!!

My little lady loves going to Banana Moon, she has a lot of fun and it's really helped her with her speech and her skills. She's learning and growing so fast. The staff are all amazing, they're friendly and helpful, and the food is amazing too! It's safe and professional but also relaxed and homely.

The standard of care is excellent at Banana Moon WGC. Having had a negative experience at a previous nursery, I have found it a breath of fresh air. I feel the staff genuinely care about and know my son well. It feels like they are just as excited to see my son develop and reach new milestones as I am!

They have a very child and family focused ethos, which is evident in every aspect of care. I would happily recommend them to my family and friends.

My son has only been at Banana Moon couple of months yet and he loved it from day one. Staff are lovely, very professional and seems they are really good with children. Nursery is well equipped inside and out in the garden and kids seem to be always doing something interesting. Also, they keep us well informed about news in nursery and the weekly/monthly themes. Very happy :))

The staff at Banana Moon have been very welcoming to my 1 and 2 year olds. The standard of the facility is of a very high, myself and my wife can see the progress from their time at Banana at home and feel very comfortable leaving our children in their care.
