Evergrove Nursery provides places for children from 12 months up to school age and accepts government-funded childcare hours where eligible. The setting prioritises close partnerships with families, ensuring that each child’s needs are met and that they thrive in a supportive, nurturing environment.
Parking is available on the premises, with additional parking available on nearby residential streets to ease drop-off and collection.

My child attended the nursery when it was formerly known as Blackdown Pre-school. The nursery accept term time funding which was music to my ears as this is what i could financially afford in comparison to commercial nurseries where they stretch the funding across the year with additional top up fee. I can now see they are accepting funding for term time with the option to stretch full time (all year round) or optional AdHoc for during the holidays - these options are very generous to cater to the different families and their needs The staff were always warm, welcoming, and great at communicating with us. They were happy to work with me to make my SEN child's pre-school day more adaptable to him and his needs. I could see that my sons confidence increased, and he built really lovely relationships with the staff members. This was crucial in order for him to thrive at a setting.
I have recommended the nursery to several people due to our great experience here

Evergrove is the new and improved Blackdown Preschool, and since joining in September there have been a number of positive improvements to the space and team. When my son first started they were in the middle of an unexpected change, which caused some confusion on our end, but the interim manager Steph was incredibly empathetic and helpful in regards to settling, hours and fees. Since the new manager Nailah has been in place, we've seen the staff stabilise, the indoor and outdoor spaces receive an upgrade, as well as an expansion of their offering and hours. We came from a childminder, and were worried about a nursery being much stricter and colder than we were used to. But whilst offering more structure they are far more flexible and empathetic than I expected. We're also very pleased with his key carer, Chloe.
Most importantly, my toddler is now very happy to go in and rarely even says good-bye!

My daughter has just started at Evergrove the last few weeks. Steph and Chloe have been amazing with her due to not wanting to leave me. She's always been happy and playing when gone to pick her up. Very pleased with the nursery.

My daughter has been attended Evergrove from September 2025. Since my daughter went to Evergrove, she has learnt many things. Her Speech and social skills have improved among many other things. As having toured other preschools and nursery's, I had seen different extremes of cleanliness and organization. Evergrove balance both things with great success and hard work behind the scenes, alongside being affordable with those of us with fundable hours. The Garden is a great size for children to play in with many types of activities to engage children. My daughter is excited to go to school everyday as I could never provide the activities and education the staff at Evergrove can. I am very happy with my choice to enroll my daughter at Evergrove and I recommend Evergrove to everyone I know.
