Children take part in a mix of activities they choose and those guided by adults, with learning happening both inside and outside every day.
Physical development. Outdoor play and equipment like scooters, bikes, and climbing frames support physical growth. Skilled sports activity leaders visit each room twice a week, giving extra chances for exercise, movement, and building confidence. A designated Key Person provides continuity, security, and emotional support. Practitioners help children develop communication, independence, and positive relationships while supporting emotional understanding and self-management.
Fenwood Nursery supports inclusion, fairness, and respect for every child and family. Special SEND Leads organise help for children with extra needs, making individual changes and adding more staff when needed.
Healthy eating and good hygiene are part of everyday life, with fresh, nutritious meals, water, and milk provided. Fenwood Nursery earned the Healthy Foundations Gold Award in 2021.

I have twins in the baby room and I honestly couldn't recommend Fenwood enough. All the staff are so friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. every single one has taken the time to really get to know my girls individually, which means the world to me. I always feel completely at ease leaving them...

All the staff are so friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. every single one has taken the time to really get to know my girls individually, which means the world to me. I always feel completely at ease leaving them there, and no matter what questions I have, they're always happy to help.
Managers Ana and Mel are lovely and so easy to talk to. My son came to this same nursery 7 years ago and had such a great time, so I knew it was the right place for my twins too. Since starting in September, my girls have come on leaps and bounds. Thank you all for looking after them so well.

My little girl has been attending this nursery for the past 2 years, she's thrived since starting. She is excited to get up and go every morning and has been this way since starting. She comes home and tells us how much she loves attending, how much she loves her practioners and all the exciting things she's been up to that day. She struggled with confidence and selective mutism which nursery helped her overcome this barrier with patience, nurturing and encouragement. They put so much effort in to helping the children learn and grow and I am so thankful that I chose this nursery.

Poor nursery, they fail to investigate concerns when they are raised. They also allow children in above the nursery intake age of 0-4 but fail to inform parents of this. Also been known to sit on safeguarding concerns for multiple weeks until parents complain.

Although we appreciate that all parents are entitled to their own individual views and opinions, we are happy in this instance to respond by informing that a senior OFSTED inspector has made an unannounced visit to our nursery to investigate all concerns raised and has concluded that no further action is necessary on all counts.
