Little Godstowe

Our daughter has just finished a complete year at Little Godstowe. She has loved being there and has blossomed into a happy, chatty, curious, confident child. The staff are outstanding; we have had full confidence in them and our daughter seems to have a great small-person relationship with them. The facilities seem great and are really well maintained. The activities look both fun and educational. Aftercare is good and mixing nursery with the year above seems to have been really positive for kids without older siblings as well as making the coming transition seem obvious and non-scary to the children. Challenges for parents are finding a suitable item for 'sound of the week' and childcare during the many days of holiday. Highlights definitely include discovering what artwork, baking, or craft items have come home that day.

Dedicated staff who have gone over and above making our little girl feel very welcomed and settled, especially as this was her first experience of a formal setting. A nurturing, warm and supportive team, coupled with a fun, learning environment has allowed our little girl to thrive. I absolutely 100% recommend Little Godstowe, especially for those little ones who might need a cuddle now and then!

We feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of the class of 2024. Amazing children and parents, wonderful teachers and endless incredible support staff, helping us all the way from start to finish. We absolutely are continuing at Godstowe for reception class.

My daughter leaves nursery with a joyful confidence in herself and her abilities, a wonderful group of friends, and is ready to hit the ground running in September.

My daughter is firstly loved and well cared for. Secondly, the overall program is wonderful. It's an excellent environment for learning and nurturing a child's potential. Every child blossoms in this nursery. As a parent, I am valued and can assist with the development of my child. Any issues my child has is carefully considered and assisted in overcoming. I never have to worry about anything while leaving my child in Godstowe nursery care.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to send our daughter to Little Godstowe. The staff are extremely attentive and go above and beyond, both in terms of the care they provide and the effort they put into teaching the children. The facilities are truly incredible both the indoor and outdoor spaces. It is a warm, welcoming nursery that has brought out the best in our daughter.

Please can we have fresh food made on site for the nursery and lodge children at lunchtimes? A healthy diet which is made daily and is warm and prepared at the school would be great. Thank you so much.

The 4 key members of staff at Little Godstowe nursery are absolutely amazing! They are key to each child’s happiness- their love, attention, care and teaching is what makes the nursery what it is! I’ve had three children go through the nursery and they have all loved it and they have thrived there. They set them ready for reception and when my children have left we have all cried because it’s honestly the most nurturing place. Thank you to the staff at Godstowe you are amazing!

First class Nursery with the absolute best staff you could entrust with the development of your children. My daughter has really grown in confidence and loves going to Nursery. The pastoral support is amazing (I will be eternally grateful) and you really feel part of the wider school community with plenty of events throughout the year. They do baking on a Tuesday, lots of arts and crafts as well as outdoor play. Management runs a tight ship and provides an amazing role model for the girls. One staff member is the most caring and warm hearted lady. All the staff are caring, genuine and supportive to the children. Clearly, a lot of thought goes into the care they provide and I will be very sad (as will my daughter) when the current cohort moves up to Beginners.

Very impressed with the level of education at the nursery, education is imaginative, playful and involving arts and crafts. Our daughter benefitted from the very first day of joining. She gets to play, learn, rest, make friends, gets exposed to charity work, music, performance and extracurricular activities like ballet; this is whilst she is still allowed to be a kid. She loves going to school. Our expectations were high, but the delivery is exceptional.

We are very satisfied with the childcare service received from little Godstowe. The teachers are professional and have the knowledge and skills to settle down our daughter and make her happy. My daughter is very happy when she asked "Do I go to Godstowe today" and I said "yes" in the mornings. We are feeling ensured and relaxed to put our daughter in the nursery. The nursery runs lots of diversified activities and connects with parents through various ways. The nursery is part of a 13+ boarding school; the providings are excellent and space is very comfortable. Parents are very warm and involved to nursery life too. We are very happy with our choice.

Little Godstowe is quite simply excellent! The staff are wonderfully kind and incredibly dedicated, especially the Head of Nursery. My daughter not only really enjoys her time there but she also learns a huge amount - they are very skilled at identifying the right level for your child and gently supporting them to achieve great things!

My daughter loves going to Little Godstowe. The staff are very kind and caring, really take the time to get to know the children individually. They help develop their strengths and address any areas of concern. My daughter particularly enjoys the freedom she is given to explore her own interests (drawing and painting currently), and the time they play outside getting to know their new friends. It’s a very friendly community, and there is excellent communication between staff and parents. We are very happy with our choice!

This is an outstanding Nursery with wonderful resources and facilities. The Nursery staff are extremely knowledgeable and caring. I couldn't leave my child in better hands academically and pastorally.

The staff are very professional yet friendly in their approach. They are so organised and this fills me with the confidence to leave my daughter in their care. Learning is at a good pace and is well balanced. The environment is very conducive for learning particularly with the refurbishment.
