Kids Planet Durham

Both of our daughters have attended this nursery and we are thrilled that they have - such a welcoming and inclusive environment for children and parents alike, with so much feedback given to parents on a daily basis - it has a real "family" feel to it and we love it!

It's reassuring to know she's in such a nurturing environment where her individuality is valued and her curiosity is supported. I'm so grateful to the team for making learning such an engaging and joyful experience for her.

Would strongly recommend to anyone considering this nursery to get at least a look in.

Wonderful learning environment, always something new and interesting that the children then come home and discuss. The meals and snacks are always a hit too, fuelling them for their next adventure or activity. All the activities are well thought out/adapted to match the age group.

My child loves attending preschool at Kids Planet. He enjoys playing with his friends and nursery workers with activities he is interested in a natural way. My child has formed brilliant bonds with all the nursery staff he interacts with and they are all so friendly and personable.

Excellent Nursery! Friendly staff who communicate effectively and in a timely manner. The safety protocols they have in place are exceptional and well respected by all providing us with confidence that our child is in safe hands!! Thank you!

From stay and plays, to beautiful graduations, countless baking, crafts and learning experiences- we are so happy we chose this nursery , it has been wonderful for our family.

My third child is currently at Kids Planet Durham and my older two also attended. We have always been extremely happy with the care given and the learning that takes place at nursery and this has set them up so well for starting primary school. The staff are so friendly and caring with the children and the activities they do with them are so fun and varied. My children absolutely love the nursery and I think they have thrived during their time there.

Our little boy has been at Kids Planet for 6 months now, the staff have been brilliant and he's settled so wonderfully into the nursery. We have seen him come on so much with their support! We are so pleased with our choice.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery, she has such a good relationship with the staff, it is so reassuring for us as parents. My daughter talks about the ladies in her room all the time even though she only goes to nursery 2 days a week. We tried a couple of different nurseries but the staff didn't interact with her half as well and also the rooms were set out differently- mostly plastic toys. We appreciate the rooms are set out at the nursery, creating an opportunity for imaginative play, my daughter responded to this very well. The nursery always seems to provide opportunities for sensory/messy play which my daughter loves. The garden is fantastic, lots of space and well equipped and they go out at least once a day. We are so very grateful that we found this nursery and for the staff who make my daughter's time there so much fun.

Great nursery and extremely supportive with parents who struggle to leave little ones! Feel extremely comfortable leaving my child in their care and all the staff are very kind and talkative. Get a great update about how my child's day has been!

We have been using Kids Planet Durham for over two years now for daycare for our two little ones (1 and 3 years old). Handing your baby over to what are almost complete strangers is one of the most daunting and worrying things any new Mam can do, however I felt completely at ease from day 1. The staff here absolutely make the place what it is and the experience the children clearly get is amazing. There are too many individuals to name but they're all stars and our two children always come home having had a great day with their little friends, all of which is logged and can be monitored through the app. Thank you to everyone at Kids Planet for nurturing and caring so much for the children, we can't thank you enough.

Communication is brilliant, I love hearing about the day at pick up and I've always enjoyed stay and plays. The chance to spend some quality time at nursery with my daughter was priceless. It will always have a special place in our hearts.

Kids Planet Durham is a fantastic day nursery. My child has attended for over 2 years, starting in the toddler room and leaving from pre-school. He has had a great experience the whole time and as parents, we are so happy with the level of care our child has received. The management and staff are exceptional and are truly caring. There are core members of staff in each room so the children see regular staff every day. The facilities are excellent and the food has also been very good. This nursery goes above and beyond in all areas of the nursery. There is a big playground/garden out the back as well where kids have lots of room to run around. The 15/30 hours of funded childcare can also be spread over 51 weeks which has worked very well for us, ensuring we have care all year round for our children while we both work.

Kids Planet has always been so welcoming from day 1. They've always been very supportive and caring. They are very good at accommodating additional dates/times. Great meal selection.

My little boy has attended this nursery since the age of 3, he is leaving to start school in September. The team at Kids Planet are absolutely amazing and have brought my baby boy on so much. The girls genuinely do love teaching the children and I can see this in my little boy daily, he comes out having had such a brilliant day. I was apprehensive at first as I had to change his nursery due to a change in job. I had nothing to worry about. My son absolutely loves Kids Planet. The team really do make this the best nursery in the area. They are appreciated beyond belief, I can't thank them enough for giving me peace of mind, knowing my little boy is safe and well cared for makes my day so much easier.

I’ve noticed an improvement in the facilities and resources, but the nursery still has the same music focus to the curriculum which we love!

Excellent nursery. My little girl looks forward to going and has grown in confidence so much since starting. The staff are friendly and caring and I’m confident this is a safe, educational and fun place for my daughter to attend.

Amazing nursery, my son first joined when he was 9 months old and on Friday had his last day at nursery ready for school in September. The staff are amazing and were wonderful with my son, it's been lovely to watch him move from each room in the nursery, from the baby room right up to pre-school. He has enjoyed the messy play, baking, learning new things every week, but most of all the staff. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely choose Kids Planet nursery.

My son has been attending Do Re Mi for over 9 months now. We are really happy with the nursery. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is healthy and varied and has improved his eating a lot. He gets to do lots of great activities which he enjoys so much and really help his development. He loves the staff and runs in smiling to see them. Most importantly my son loves going; he walks in with a big smile on his face in the morning and comes back so happy. It helps me to know he's in safe hands and so happy there.
