Rated 'Outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted (February 2022), House of Commons Nursery & Pre-School provides childcare and education to children from birth to 5 years old. The Nursery is exclusively available to parents and carers with a permanent parliamentary pass.*

This is a workplace nursery situated on the Parliamentary Estate, close to Westminster tube. It's a bright, spacious nursery with plenty of natural light.

The experienced staff inspire learning through curiosity and discovery. The children enjoy lots of activities from science to woodwork and cooking, obstacle courses, sensory play, and more. They also love to get outdoors – buying fruit and veg in nearby Chinatown or climbing trees in St James’s Park.

The nursery chef prepares all meals and snacks using recipes from LEYF’s nutritious menu.

*This workplace nursery is exclusively available to the following groups: Members of the House of Commons, Members’ staff, House of Commons and Parliamentary Digital Service employees, House of Lords Peers and staff (including the grandchildren of these pass holders), Press Gallery Media Pass Holders and Contractors situated on the Parliamentary Estate.

What an amazing place! Our son started attending the nursery when he was just over 3, having not previously attended any other childcare. He settled well and has thrived since. He has been looked after so well and developed in such an amazing way that we decided to delay his transfer to reception, to
give him another year in this amazing environment.

My son currently attends the Preschool room in the nursery. The teachers are kind, caring and exceptionally knowledgeable about child development. They provide a range of wonderfully fun activities and experiences to support my son's learning and myself and my husband are always made to feel incredibly
welcome. The nursery and the teachers are second to none and I could not recommend them enough! It is a wonderful place to be a child and as parents, we are so thankful to feel confident in the knowledge that our precious son is in safe, caring hands.

The House of Commons Nursery is a wonderful place. I am a first-time mother of a ten-month-old daughter. The baby room staff were very caring and considerate which put my mind at ease. I was very comfortable leaving my little one and felt happy that she is in caring hands.

I would say this is the

nurseries strength - that most parents feel satisfied and content leaving their children here. The teachers are aware of every child's needs and help them according to their needs.
