Little Raccoons Day Nursery Watford

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Unfortunately, my son suffered 2 injuries (one of which was quite serious) during his first week and when I asked to see the CCTV footage of the accidents I was told there's no CCTV in use although it was obvious they had a CCTV system installed and one of the managers actually confirmed it. When questioning the discrepancies, the Area Manager said it's for live footage only but couldn't justify why it's not recording or it's purpose. They changed the incidents reports several times and would always take a few days to a week to reply, agreeing to meet only after 3 weeks had passed. Also, rarely respected the food menu, that they shared only after insisting several times. Everything inside is quite dated and dirty but I comprised because it was really close. Deeply regret it now!

A big shoutout to three staff members in particular, you are truly guardian angels for our little one!

I am giving 4 stars just considering if only there could be flexibility in charging per hour rather than half day/full day as I used to have in previous setting in other areas. Highly recommended to anyone who can afford to pay a private setting and is looking for a nice environment for their child to grow.

Little Raccoons Day Nursery Watford has been an amazing place for my child's development. Since my son joined, I've seen incredible growth in his confidence, social skills, and learning abilities. The staff create a nurturing and engaging environment where children feel safe and excited to explore. The learning activities are well-structured, making education fun while fostering creativity and curiosity. My child comes home every day with new skills, stories, and a big smile. I truly appreciate the dedication of the team.

As parents, we feel so reassured knowing that our children are in such capable, compassionate hands. We also value the regular updates we receive. We couldn't have asked for a better place for our little ones to grow, learn, and thrive.

We are incredibly pleased with Little Racoons Day Nursery. The small size of the nursery creates a warm and family-like environment, and our son's key worker is exceptionally kind, nurturing, and caring. Our son started nursery at 10 months with a food allergy. All staff are clearly well-trained on dealing with allergies and care plans are strictly adhered to and reviewed frequently. Kids are given an impressive range of activities each day, with plenty of messy play and crafts. The only area for improvement is the outdoor space which is in desperate need of investment. However, we have noticed new outdoor toys being added, and the children do get to play outside daily. We would not hesitate to recommend Little Raccoons to other parents.

My daughter attends this nursery. I am so pleased with my experience at Little Raccoons Day Nursery Watford. From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Especially the deputy manager. She is amazing and works incredibly hard. She really does make the children feel loved at all times and is really passionate about her job. My daughter is obsessed with her. My daughter has thrived in their environment, engaging in fun and educational activities.

Couldn't be happier with our experience.

Kids are happy in the nursery. Staff are friendly, food is good and varied, a lot of activities to entertain the little ones, help them learn and develop. Regular updates from staff of day-to-day routine.

We really appreciate the environment, and culture they have provided our children to date.

She's always available should you need to speak to her. Her team are equally as good and show a real passion for their work. They have all built a great relationship with our son, it really does have a family feel which we didn't find at the other nurseries. Highly recommend Little Racoons!

Both of my sons have thrived at Little Raccoons in Watford. My eldest has just started in reception; I feel that the support he received at the nursery prepared him well for the transition to primary school in developing social skills along with a good foundation of literacy and numeracy. My youngest still loves going to the nursery and always tells me about the fun activities that they do. The staff have always been fully supportive and very nurturing.

We've been absolutely delighted with Little Raccoons from day one. It's a small nursery, which is great in our opinion. All of the staff know all of the kids and kids of different ages get to interact - we think this has helped our son develop confidence and 'moving up' to the next group isn't such a big deal. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and caring and our son is very happy. There's a great range of fun activities for the kids to take part in, but the staff always ensure the kids are learning too. Our little one also loves the food - a really healthy and varied menu. It's also been really helpful having staff be so supportive with potty training. I'd strongly recommend Little Raccoons to parents in Watford.

My little son has been attending the Little Racoons Nursery since March 2017 on daily bases spending long hours at the nursery. He has settled in nicely and quickly after our big move. That is all due to the excellent approach of the profesional, yet friendly, staff who always welcome him with a big smile and lots of enthusiasm to start a new day.

I love the idea of the big room with sections for different ages, where children from each section are allowed and encouraged to follow freely and socialize with their friends from all ages, it's just like a big family! The nursery is always kept clean. There is always a big variety of toys and activities keeping the kids busy and happy.

You can easily notice the staff's efforts with the kids which reflects on the kids' manners and their speech and skills progress. I am very pleased with their support through the potty training process for my kid. I would strongly and easily recommend this nursery to any parent in the vicinity.

A fantastic nursery with warm, kind staff, lovely facilities and an extensive range of toys and activities. Our child loves his time at Little Raccoons and is always excited to start a new a day there. We've experienced nothing but friendly support from staff and feel very lucky to have found such a happy, nurturing environment.
