Hi, my name is Bernadette McLean. I have over 30 years of experience in the childcare sector, working in various nursery and childcare settings, including more senior positions. I take great pleasure in leading, serving as a role model, and collaborating with a team to ensure that we provide the highest quality of care for all children. The well-being, education, and safeguarding of all children are my top priorities.

In my profession, I have a keen interest in safeguarding all children and young people. Additionally, I ensure that my staff feel valued and receive the support necessary for their professional development.

I am a mum of two grown-up children. In my spare time, I love spending quality time with my family, socialising with friends, travelling and walking my dogs.

Hello, I’m Chloe Mitchelson, and I am the Depute Manager at Tiny Tots Nursery.

I graduated with an HNC in Social Services for Children and Young People in 2018 and completed my SVQ in Social Services in 2020. Most recently, in 2023, I achieved my PDA Plus Level 9 in Childcare Practice Leadership Management.

My passion for childcare began in my youth when I cared for a family member with additional support needs, which motivated me to commit to a career supporting young people. Throughout the years, I have taken on various senior roles, enabling me to share my knowledge and skills with others, and to ensure we provide the highest quality care for all children in our nursery.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family and taking my two French Bulldogs for walks in the countryside.

My name is Nicole Watt, and I have six and a half years of experience in childcare, particularly with children under three. I hold an SVQ Level 7 in Social Services and Children and Young People, and I have recently completed the first year of my degree in Childhood Practice, which I aim to finish soon.

In my leisure time, I enjoy driving around Scotland and admiring the stunning scenery.

Hi, my name is Katy. From a young age, I wanted to work in childcare and knew this would be my dream job so I began volunteering here at Tiny Tots. I was soon employed as a trainee and 2 years later gained my qualification through a modern apprenticeship, receiving an SQV level 3. I truly love my job and enjoy watching the children grow. I feel proud as I am a small part of the children’s journey towards school and their future adventures.

Hi, I’m Morgain. I have been in childcare for 5 years now, and I have been a practitioner within the 3-5 playroom and I have recently been promoted to Senior Practitioner of the 3-5 playroom. I currently have my SVQ in Social Services (children and young people) SVQ level 7, and I am now working towards my PDA in Childhood practice level 8. I love working alongside the children and watching them flourish as I support the children’s interest and develop their learning skills through play. I also love working alongside our families within our care.

Hey! I’m Erin, I have been working in childcare for 5 years now, & I am a practitioner in the pre-school playroom. I have recently been promoted to the Acting Senior of the pre-school playroom. I have currently attained my SVQ in Social Services (children & young people) SVQ level 7. I love working alongside the children & watching them flourish as I support the children’s interests & develop their learning skills through play. I also love working alongside our families within our care.

Being part of our little people is very important to me, & being part of their journey is always so special! I have always wanted to work with children in some way, & working at Tiny Tots Nursery has helped me fulfil that dream!
