Jitterbugs Day Nursery

Jitterbugs is an outstanding childcare setting. Both of my children have been here from 9 months to age 4. As a parent, I have felt that my children have been safe, nurtured and loved. I couldn't have asked for better, and I always recommend Jitterbugs to new families.

Excellent nursery. My daughter absolutely loves going and all the staff are brilliant with her. She has come on so much whilst being there. It is such a relief knowing when I drop her off that she is happy and settled. That is credit to the staff. Even the staff not in her room always happily interact with us.

Brilliant range of activities and supporting my daughter through potty training she's done it so fast. Feels so connected to all the staff as they are so friendly. It would be helpful to see what the children are eating each day, I'm unsure if there are menus posted anywhere.

My child has been at Jitterbugs for a few months now and they have been amazing. I found leaving my baby very difficult but the staff at Jitterbugs were so kind and supportive. They keep me up to date throughout the day on the app and send wonderful pictures so I can see my son having a lovely time. Lovely cards have been made, with regular messy play for the children to enjoy. Highly recommend!

My eldest went to this nursery too 16 years ago and I have always and will always strongly recommend it to everyone! The staff pool is very consistent, there’s still loads of the same staff members there from when my eldest was there and they still remember her. They take great care to work with you for the needs of the child.

Very happy with my son in Cocoons. He had a wobbly moment and we worked together to overcome the issue. I found them very supportive in this room. I would highly recommend sending your child to this nursery. Additionally, I worried about his speech and he’s now a confident little man when communicating.

The nursery is always clean, well maintained, and with great equipment to make life easier for parents such as the facial recognition entry system and digital diary for your little ones. The team is always friendly and keen to help, making you feel so supported.

Jitterbugs has been absolutely amazing and so supportive of our transition. My biggest regret is not starting at Jitterbug's sooner. My little one has settled in so well thanks to the great team in the cocoon room.

You have encouraged our child to have his interests and helped his understanding of that topic. You have promoted independence in a safe way. You have been considerate to our son and his routines and listened to us as parents.

Only criticism of the service as a whole was that staff seemed to change often without always an explanation or warning, so often new faces at pick up/drop off and sometimes I had to ask them to introduce themselves.

I rate the experience of Eggs, Caterpillars & Cocoons as excellent. I rate Butterflies as good. There has been a lack of detailed observations which do not document how my child is progressing at this stage, what he is learning and how he is being assessed and challenged in the activities he chooses to engage in. The written observations which accompany the photos tell me very little. There is a distinct lack of trips and experiences at this stage compared to previous stages. Those that do feature are repetitive, and from interpreting the visual records of these activities, children can frequently look disengaged whereas these activities when provided at younger stages seemed to have more of an impact. Staff have limited time to spend individually preparing children for school with personal care development. The staff are caring and know my child very well, he feels very comfortable with all staff, particularly with staff members who are more gentle in their manner.

Both of my daughters have gone to Jitterbugs with my youngest still there. The staff are absolutely amazing, always friendly and helpful and will deal with any questions or issues quickly and professionally. My daughter loves going which tells me that she feels safe and has fun while there. She comes home with something new to tell me each day about what they have been doing and what they have learned...along with a few things that she teaches me! Jitterbugs always go above and beyond with the children and have always put them as their number one priority. They have helped both my daughters navigate their first few years of life and I will be forever grateful to Jitterbugs.

Fabulous nursery with lovely, friendly, caring staff. Would recommend. My daughter has a lovely time and always comes out smiling. They do lots of activities, even French. My daughter really struggled with her colours but now knows them all. Overall, very happy. Thank you, the Jitterbugs team.

My daughter attends this nursery and absolutely loves attending, all the girls are lovely and very caring my daughter has come on in leaps and bounds since starting at Jitterbugs last year. we always feel well-informed about what she has done during the day. Couldn't recommend the nursery enough.

My daughter started at nine months with Jitterbugs, and she wasn't walking. Jitterbugs had a separate area for the babies, and I knew she was going to get the attention she needed. She is now two and loves going to the nursery; she has a huge smile on her face when we show up in the morning and she sees the staff. This fills us with confidence, and we also get photos of her doing different activities. The staff are always happy to answer any questions however small. Would very highly recommend.
