Sweet Peas is an Ofsted registered, family owned private day nursery for children aged between 0 to 5 years. Their sole purpose is to provide families with effortless childcare, peace of mind and exceptional education and life experiences for their children.

The nursery opens at 7:30am until 6pm, Monday to Friday and nappies, formula milk and all meals are included within their fees. Sweet Peas Nursery is conveniently based just off the M1 and under a mile from Garforth train station.

Each of their carefully designed Suites adopts a Reggio Emilia approach; allowing the children to freely explore each of the areas with highly skilled childcare practitioners engaging with them during their play. It is through this that the team can observe and gain an understanding of your child’s interests and use this to guide their learning, development and happiness.

Sweet Peas teach children the importance of living a healthy lifestyle from a very young age. Menus are carefully planned to include a balanced diet of locally sourced wholesome produce and their free flow system allows children secure access to the outdoor play area at their leisure.

Sweet Peas is a fantastic nursery and has supported both my children growing up from age one. The staff are brilliant, friendly and always helpful. My kids have bonded with all of them while they have been here and we will miss them when we leave.

Sweet Peas have been providing excellent childcare for my son for six months. The standard of care is high, regular nappy changes and lots of activities/stimulation. The meals are of good quality and they provide allergy-friendly meals for my son. No complaints. The staff always provide a handover at
the end of the day. Friendly and approachable team.

We have been taking our boy here since the age of 2 and he has been well looked after and has settled in. He loves coming here and is always wanting to go. Highly recommend.

We have used Sweet Peas nursery for 2 children. Both children want to come in the morning and have smiley faces when we collect them, we know that they are happy and secure. Having access to the online system is really useful in seeing what the children are doing. We are able to quickly see what they
have eaten (the menus are great), what activities they are doing along with pictures, how long they have slept and so on. Our children see their key workers as best friends and they have built up amazing relationships. The nursery doesn’t only care for the children but for the family too and we have attended a first aid course provided for free by the nursery. Events throughout the year that celebrate different cultures have allowed our children to gain insights into various backgrounds and parents are actively encouraged to attend if possible.
If I were to go back to when my first was a baby I would choose Sweet Peas over and over again, I recommend it to anybody asking!

Heléna’s background began in Business Studies and then went on to study childcare and play work. Heléna wanted somewhere that offers families the happy, safe and carefree environment that her own children experienced at home with her, and thus Sweet Peas was born.


Heléna has been at the helm of the Sweet Peas team since it was founded in May 2010 and is proud of the exceptional care and education that her team provide.

Chloie has been with Sweet Peas Nursery since March 2017 and has many years of experience working in a child care environment.

I began my journey in the Baby Suite, where I learned so much about the early stages of a child’s development. I hold a Level 5 Foundation Degree in Early Years, which followed completing a sports coaching award. This combination guided me into my current role, working with Early Years children.


I love passing on my knowledge and experience to guide the team and help them achieve high standards in their roles. Cornflour is practically my middle name—you would often find me under a cloud of it, surrounded by happy, laughing faces. Building strong parent partnerships is vital at this age, helping the children’s personalities to truly blossom.
