Holly House Private Day Nursery

Both of our children have attended Holly House from the age of 1 until they've been ready to move on to primary school, and we've been so happy to have chosen such a wonderful nursery to care for our kids. The staff are amazing and so attentive to the children's needs at all levels of the nursery, and the bonds they build are so supportive to the child's development and growth. Communication with us as parents is managed well, especially since the rollout of the parent app, which keeps us informed of what they eat, and the activities the kids have been involved in, which are always so varied and engaging. The facilities at Holly House are also ideal for the kids, and as far as we can see, they want for nothing, both in terms of indoor and outdoor space. We will be sad to close this chapter in our children's early years, but couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery.

My daughter attended nursery at Holly House for nearly 2 years and spent time in all three playrooms. She was very happy there and blossomed under the care of the staff. Transitions were managed well and communication with parents was always good, including during this covid pandemic. I felt the staff really knew my little girl and it was clear from what they said that they had taken special care to get to know her as a unique person. She had a joyful time full of lots of outdoor play, roleplay, crafts and all sorts of other fun things. Her confidence grew during her time there and she built some lovely friendships. We had to leave due to moving area or would have definitely stayed until she started school!

My little boy attended Holly House for just over 3 years and recently left to start school. From day one he settled in straight away and thoroughly enjoyed every day he spent there. It was like a home from home for him. The outside space, in particular, is fantastic for the children with lots of different activities. Most days he was having so much fun that he didn’t want to come home when I went to pick him up! He developed strong relationships with all of the staff and will miss them greatly. Holly House has helped him to grow into a confident, happy little boy and has prepared him well for the next step of starting school. I would highly recommend Holly House.

I highly recommend Holly House. My two children were at Holly House from being less than 12 months old until starting school. The nursery does a great job of getting children ready for school both in terms of developing their social skills and also their listening skills. The facilities are excellent and the garden, in particular, is a great space for the children. The food is nutritious and my children both really enjoyed their nursery meals. The staff are lovely and I’ve always felt my children were in safe hands.

Holly House is a fantastic nursery and I couldn’t be happier sending my daughter here. It is everything you could hope for in a nursery - from the excellent staff who are attentive and caring, to the food which is homemade and varied, to the variety of activities and fun learning environment. My daughter has been coming here for 18 months and has developed very strong bonds with her key workers and the other children. She is always happy and well cared for, I don’t have anything but praise for Holly House. It is an outstanding nursery and I would highly recommend it.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery now. The first few weeks were a struggle but the staff were so reassuring to me and I felt confident that she was safe and in good hands. She now gets so excited about going to nursery and doesn’t want to leave when I come to collect her. That shows how much fun she must be having and her bond with the staff there. She’s always doing fun activities and they allow her the freedom to choose what she wants to do. They always give a comprehensive summary of the day when I collect her which is nice to have.

Both our kids love Holly House, they love going and the teachers are great, and they have lots of fun playing in the garden.

Holly House is an amazing nursery and we highly recommend it! The staff is very caring, patient and attentive, always making sure that we are aware of our daughter's development and offering support whenever needed. The food is outstanding. There is always a good variety of fresh food provided and it is a great way to learn more about our little one's taste. The outdoor area is fantastic with lots of space for the kids to play. My daughter is very happy to play with the staff and she learns a lot every time.

Holly House is an outstanding nursery and one I would highly recommend. My little girl's been attending since she was 6 months old and now is nearly 3. Staff are fantastic and always have time at the end of their busy days to give feedback about our daughter's day and advice on her development and even down to what food she's eaten. Their enthusiasm, smiles and the love they give my daughter is second to none and I have trust in all they do. This is such a happy place for all the children and parents too. The development and happiness of my child is amazing and beautiful to see and I can’t thank Holly House's staff for everything they do. I have one very happy little girl and one who skips to nursery and when she’s not there talks about her friends and what she does and her key workers. Thank you for all you do, you're all wonderful and we appreciate your hard work and care of a very happy little girl.

Holly House is an excellent nursery with committed and enthusiastic staff, locally sourced food, a great outdoor space that is used daily. The children engage in a range of creative play, they do languages, yoga, sign language. They go to trips to the local play park and library. Our children have loved Holly House. We trust the staff, ask for advice from them and do what they tell us! They are brilliant.

My daughter has the most wonderful time and nursery and is coming on leaps and bounds. The staff are great and the food she is given is full of variety and she loves it.

We are very happy with the care our son has had since starting at Holly House last year. He has gained confidence and developed great relationships with the staff. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. He enjoys going to nursery and we know he is safe and well looked after. He loves the outdoor space and the food is always healthy and nutritious. Since starting the nursery, my daughter has become more adjusted to the adults around her. The staff are unbelievably great. So friendly and from the moment we came to view the nursery, so involved with our child and her needs and working together to find ways to settle her in as she only attends once a week. She absolutely loves it now, especially her key worker.

Unfortunately, we’re moving area so are regretfully leaving Holly House but we can’t thank them enough. We would absolutely recommend them!

Holly House provides a nurturing environment for your child to reach their potential. We are always kept updated with our child’s progress and development. The nursery has a vast array of resources and highly trained staff set in a beautiful environment.

As one of our children prepares for school, we know that Holly House has had a huge part in preparing her for the next big step. We couldn’t recommend this early years setting highly enough.

Our girls love Holly House and from day 1 we have found the team friendly, helpful and responsive to our needs or requests. We have confidence that they are well looked after and learning lots of new things. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Holly House to anyone looking for a nursery.

Holly House is a small family owned nursery that provides a caring environment for babies and young children. All the meals are healthy and there are some really helpful polices such as no puddings (except birthday cakes) and access to screens is limited as the staff value other ways of learning. The nursery has a lovely big private garden and the children are encouraged to play outside every day. Our little boy loves songs and stories and there are plenty of these to listen to and join in with.

My 2 year old has attended Holly House for nearly 12 months now and has come on leaps and bounds. He loves it, and we are extremely pleased with his development which is largely down to the dedication and care shown by all members of staff. 10/10 thank you!!
