Active Kids Day Nursery

I am so over the moon to have found this preschool for my child! They have been to a couple before here, and never really settled, but are very happy at Active Kids and talk about their friends and teachers at home all the time. The staff have really helped my child specifically with a speech confidence issue that was diagnosed earlier this year, and with their support and guidance, he has come on in leaps and bounds. I am so thankful to have found this very special setting and would happily recommend Active Kids to all parents looking for a safe, caring environment for their little ones.

My son has been at Active Kids for the past 3 years. He had no problem settling in at 15 months old and has continued to love it since! The staff are all fantastic and have nurtured him through the different rooms, using play to ensure he is at key stages and ensuring he was ready for school when that point came.

My daughter has attended Active Kids Nursery for over 4 years since she was 8 months old. Throughout her time there, there has been a consistent workforce, the key workers are amazing and are always on hand to offer support when needed. They take a very outdoor approach to learning and spend a lot of time outside in the garden. The home-cooked meals I believe are lovely too, as my daughter frequently has seconds! They are a small family-run nursery that has a very personal and welcoming feel to it. My daughter has always been really enthusiastic about going, which is reassuring as a parent. I would highly recommend Active Kids.

My daughter has attended Active Kids since she was 9 months old, and she is now 2. She gets so excited when she goes and is so happy when I collect her. All the staff are really friendly, switched on and really seem to care about all the children. The activities are brilliant, both inside and outside, with great healthy meals also. I always feel at ease leaving her, as I know she has a brilliant time and is well looked after. A great nursery, lovely staff, and a big emphasis on nature and outside playing.

I can’t recommend Active Kids Day Nursery enough, my little boy has been attending the setting since he was 9 months old. He’s now 25 months and has moved from the baby room to small toddlers and is now in big toddlers. He’s the brightest little boy and whilst I’d love to take all the credit, much of it lies with the Active Kids team. They really go above and beyond to make sure that the children are educated, nourished, and cared for. He has genuine bonds with a number of the team there, I feel thoroughly reassured that he is safe and secure there. We moved almost a year ago but made the decision to keep my little boy at Active Kids as he was absolutely thriving there. I don’t regret that decision one bit, the commute there and back is worth it!

I have 2 children who attend this nursery and they both absolutely love it. They settled in really quickly, and I feel like all the staff know them both really well. They always eat a healthy meal and spend some time outside, and do lots of drawing, painting and craft activities as well as educational ones. The app is always updated with information about what they’re doing and lots of photos too. Communication is great, and they were very supportive with potty training. I feel completely happy that they’re safe, well cared for and having fun when they’re there and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone, and will be sending my youngest soon.

Ever since he started attending Active Kids Nursery, we’ve noticed a big improvement in his social skills, learning abilities, and general moods. He absolutely loves going there and he’s made loads of friends and he’s very fond of the carers. He asks constantly to go to the nursery and he’s very happy when we take him there. We’re also very happy with the level of care and attention the staff at the nursery give to our child; they keep us informed constantly and know him on a personal level. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough!

Active Kids Day Nursery is a brilliant nursery, the staff are amazing. Their dedication, support and enthusiasm for the nursery is so lovely to see and why my son is so happy to go there! They provide regular updates via the app and it’s clear they offer a large range of learning and fun activities. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the nursery to friends and family.

My son has been coming to Active Kids since he was 9 months old, he is nearly 4 now and will miss it when he starts school in September. The nursery has a great outdoor space that is used as much as possible, my son loves it when they play outside on the bikes, zip wire and lots of other toys. He also loves it when they do other activities such as rugby and drama. The staff are very friendly and I have always felt very welcome when I have dropped off or collected my child. He always eats well, loves the home cooked food. I would definitely recommend active kids.

Very good nursery. Both my kids love it and learn a lot as well. Plenty of outside space for the kids to run around.

Both my children have had a good opportunity to learn and grow, they were supported by staff and the management is very helpful too. I would recommend this nursery to a parent looking for daycare.

I have had two children at Active Kids Day Nursery. One has now left to go to school and my son still there, both my children started going from 9 months old and they have been brilliant to us as a family, very helpful kind staff, with a caring environment. My children arrive happily and leave even happier. They've had brilliant bonds with the staff and I never go to work and worry about them. I would highly recommend Active Kids Day Nursery. My daughter eats better at nursery than she does at home. She loves the food at nursery, they always make things I would never think to make at home. All in all, I would really recommend Active Kids, it's such a lovely place for children to go and I never feel worried about her while I'm at work. This is all thanks to the wonderful team which are fantastic!

Our 18 month old daughter has been going to Active Kids for five months now and we are extremely happy with all aspects of the nursery. The food, staff and facilities are amazing and we feel more than comfortable that our daughter is in a secure environment. She has gained confidence and always comes home happy after doing a variety of indoor and outdoor activities each day that are communicated to us via the app. Outdoor space and caring staff were key to our nursery choice and Active Kids certainly tick these boxes!

I’m really pleased with how quickly my 20 month old has settled. The staff seem really happy and stable which is something I look out for when choosing a nursery. The outside area is amazing and I love that the children get a good period of time outside whenever possible. I get daily feedback on all the important things but most of all, I love the fact they take an interest and show genuine love for him as a little person. I know for sure he is well cared for.

If you're looking for a nursery with ample outdoor space for little ones to enjoy and explore look no further than Active Kids. My two older sons have now left, with just my youngest attending. The bigger boys loved their time here, playing, exploring and learning. My youngest son has settled in marvellously and created bonds with staff and his peers. He gets up to so many varied activities, be it messy play, outdoor play or quiet time, the range is imaginative and endless. The menu is varied helping the younger ones to try new tastes and texture - an excellent chef! Thank you Active Kids team to your hard work and dedication, my kids (even the older ones) love it!

All the children get on brilliantly and look out for each other too which is lovely.

I have 3 children, one of which is currently attending Active Kids, the other two joining in the new year without a doubt. It has an excellent atmosphere for the children and parents.

The staff have an open door policy which is great, we can go to them with any issues we have, for example, how to sign up children to primary school, help with the government 30 hours etc. Nothing is too much trouble.

The extra-curricular activities are amazing too, my child comes home speaking French and there are rugby lessons on the way. Just remarkable.

I would recommend this place wholeheartedly and would recommend you go for a visit to see for yourselves if in doubt.

Our son has only been at the nursery for a short amount of time but we researched heavily and visited many local nurseries before choosing Active Kids. Their passion and warmth is so rare to find in this industry. Our son comes home happy and tired after a funfilled day, their outdoor facility is fantastic!
