Toy Box Day Nursery

Toy Box Day Nursery always go above and beyond when it comes to the care of the children. They look after my little girl like she is their own. Nothing is too much trouble ever, each and every staff member knows and I believe loves my child wholeheartedly, they honestly cannot do enough for you. Reminding me of dates, ensuring my child is always happy even on difficult days and helping me so much as a single parent. I couldn’t ask for anymore if I tried. As a childcare practitioner myself I know what I want and what I deserve and all I can say is the staff and management are impeccable, always happy, caring, smiley, and go the extra mile, overall a pleasure to deal with. I have had a few issues with my daughter settling and the staff were so accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us to help us overcome the issue. I am more than happy with leaving my daughter in their care which is daily from when they open until when they shut! Outstanding!

We are so pleased with our daughters progress at Toy Box Day Nursery. The staff are amazing and our daughter fully enjoys being there. The nursery is always very clean and warm for the kids.

What a fantastic nursery!

My eldest son attended Toy Box between July 2010 and September 2014. He thoroughly enjoyed his time here and made some very strong bonds with both staff and children alike. He particularly enjoyed the spacious outdoor area, especially exploring the mud kitchen and other messy activities.

I am pleased with the level of education my son received during his time here which stood him in great stead for starting school. He performs well both academically and socially and I feel a huge part of this is down to the hard work and dedication that Toy Box Day Nursery demonstrated as a whole.

Staff always took the time to inform us of his development and also of activities we could do at home to extend his learning. There were opportunities to come in for consultations with his key person about his development as a whole and we also attended parent workshops after hours where the manager would explain different areas of the curriculum and give guidance on how to deliver numeracy and literacy to our children at home.

The standard of the food is very high. My son always ate well (which didn't always happen at home) and I was always pleased with the variety of food offered to the children.

There are always extra curricular activities going on here, such as dressing up days, outings, visits by people form the wider community and also fundraising events. I was very pleased that my son was part of the different events such as the annual Sports Day, Christmas Party, Nativity Plays and also the Graduation Party that is thrown for the school leavers each year.

The management team here are great. Very efficient and professional but also approachable, caring and considerate to the needs of the families and children that attend.

We have another son on the way and as soon as we found out we were expecting I made sure that his place was secured here. It is best to book early as they often have long waiting lists for popular days.

We are looking forward to our youngest son starting here in July 2016 and know that he will receive the same exceptional level of care and education that was delivered to our eldest.

This setting really is worth a visit. They have an open door policy and made both my wife and I feel welcome from the first visit.
