9.3 Norton Grange Children's Nursery has a Review Score of 9.3 (9.333)

The Review Score of 9.3 (maximum of 10) for Norton Grange Children's Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5 out of 5 from 6 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Norton Grange Children's Nursery in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.958 for Norton Grange Children's Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (69 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.958

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 4.375 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Norton Grange Children's Nursery is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

    2. Target of 16 positive Reviews (80 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 6 Reviews ÷ 16 Target = 0.375

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

I've had both my children attend Chantreyland over the past 4 or so years and they've both loved their experience. All the staff are friendly, and my youngest loves her keyworker in her room. Even though my oldest has now left, she still enjoys coming to pick her sister up after school and popping into the nursery to see the staff. The activities are varied, and in the pre-school, they really do prepare the children for going to school (which can be quite a shock to some children).
I'd have no hesitation in recommending Chantreyland!

My daughter is two and has been attending nursery since she was 10 months. She only attends one day a week but she loves it. All of the staff know who she is and how well she is progressing. She does a variety of activities and is always keen to tell us about her day. The parents evenings are good to keep abreast of her developments, but the staff are always on hand for you to talk to if you have any concerns. Great outdoor space.

My little girl has been attending Chantreyland since January, and I'm so happy with her progress. I wanted her to attend a couple of days a week so she could interact with other children of similar age and the development has been huge. All the staff are very friendly, and I feel like she is well looked after and cared for by them. Sending her to nursery has allowed me to return to work, which has made a huge difference for me as well. Cannot fault the nursery at all!

My daughter attended Chantreyland since being a baby and left last September for school. She loved every minute of her experience at Chantreyland, and the staff were lovely throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend, and I've already registered my youngest for a start in June.
I still keep in regular contact with the staff, updated them on her progress at school, and she pops in to visit often.
