My daughter started here and was settled in by a lovely staff member. On her first day the staff were both people I had never met before and my daughter was quite upset to be left at nursery due to this. She climbed back into her stroller and was left there and weed through her pull up and her pants
were wet too. I complained about this and was told it was my daughter's fault for not interacting with staff or peers and for climbing into her stroller. I witnessed a little boy throw a cast iron object across the playground and he was told not to do that. I complained about the object being left out as it is unsafe and was told the boy has additional needs which is irrelevant as I was concerned for safety, not the boy's behaviour. When I collected my daughter I was told 'no phone call tomorrow' by a member of staff, which is bad. Of course, I will ring about my child. I again raised this issue with the owner and he lied and pretended he was present when the conversation took place and denied it.
Reply from Chris Randall, Owner at Busy KidsDear Jodie, I'm sorry Busy Kids is not to your liking however your daughter was initially settled on a 121 basis and encouraged by staff to join in, not just 'left there' as stated and the initial staff member whom you complimented was on annual leave. We realise you're upset that your daughter had wet through her pull-up, however accidents aren't uncommon and once staff became aware of it, she was immediately changed. The object you describe is a musical instrument, safe and suitable for children. You were advised to delay calling as this would give staff time to settle your daughter into the environment. I am confidently able to advocate for my staff without the need to lie when conversations take place within my earshot. I'm disappointed that we couldn't meet the comfortable and good feelings you expressed after deciding upon us following you viewing 3 other settings and your former setting, which I notice you have similarly reviewed with low ratings. We wish you both the best in your new setting.

I have been impressed by the friendliness of staff when picking up my nephew.
They always explain what they have been doing and put me ease.
My nephew really enjoys going to nursery and gets a hug from staff when he arrives, he talks about them a lot at home and is always excited to see the staff
at the nursery.
I cannot fault the care my nephew receives.
Reply from Sandra Hooper, nursery owner at Busy KidsThank you for your kind comments we are always really happy to hear that the team are doing a good job and that children are really enjoying coming to nursery.
