Kindred Hykeham is a warm and welcoming environment located in a large, modern, purpose built setting and boast spacious rooms with plenty of natural light, as well as beautiful and well-equipped garden areas for little ones to explore, complete with climbing equipment, obstacles and planting areas.

The setting has a large number of highly qualified and experienced Early Years Practitioners, many of whom have worked at the nursery for several years. Staff are passionate about the mission to create inspiring worlds full of awe and wonder for little ones to grow and thrive in.

By creating days filled with unique moments and opportunities, Kindred are able to truly enrich a child’s development during 0-5 years. Not only that but Kindred Hykeham also personally understands what it is to be a parent during this magical time and create meaningful relationships with every parent. Parents will never miss an opportunity to share in the joy of every child’s developmental and learning moments.

The team is delighted to provide various extracurricular activities, such as football club, rugby club, cooking, gardening, ballet, dance and yoga for children to take part in and enjoy.

Son attended for one day. He has a severe milk allergy. When I collected was told he has eaten several milk based produce. He was ill for several days. When I questioned him being given milk. One of the managers stated she has investigated and he definitely had not had milk, even sending me photos
of the dairy free boxes of food. I felt this was wrong due to his symptoms and a additional investigation was carried out by another manager and he had been given at least 3 types of food containing milk. I took him out and have had to chase for my money back. Only getting it back after chasing several times. If my son was anaphylactic this could have been fatal. Lado, safeguarding and Ofsted informed by myself

Staff are really friendly and compassionate. Everything the staff do with the children is led by fun, curiosity and promoting good values. I honestly cannot fault the lovely team of staff and their clean and safe environment.I have no regrets in choosing this nursery for my little boy.
I really recommend
this nursery! ..but they are clearly very busy (popular!) and stretched to maximum capacity which is why records of food/sleep/nappies etc aren't always complete and general updates/photos are scarce

Since my child has started attending Kindred they have come on leaps and bounds. The learning facilities are incredible and transmissible... It is very evident that the staff are passionate about their jobs.
Every time I pick my child up or drop them off, they are greated with warm smiles or I am provided
with a detailed handover about their day.
Throughout the day there are updates provided on the app too, something I can show my child's grandparents when we visit.


My child is always excited to attend nursery and looks forward to it every day - this speaks volumes about the environment which they are in. I'm always at ease knowing they are safe and being inspired to achieve their potential.


The management team have been incredibly supportive and they are approachable, friendly and understanding.


I've recommended this nursery to other parents and will continue to do so.

My son attends 2 days a week and was fully welcomed. He is quite shy and timid and they have worked really well supporting him in the setting. They do a range of activities throughout the days, updating what they have been doing. As parents, we are updated which is fab, as well as specific observations
to my child on bow they are getting on.
The food is amazing, the variety they get is fantastic and my son always eats it plus seconds, so he is never hungry. They get the opportunity to go outside as well as supporting getting them school ready. We have recently had a parents evening, which i wasn't expecting, with my sons key worker being very prepared, speaking about strengths and areas where we can support at home. He is treated as an individual, not just another student.

Our daughter really enjoys going to the nursery, she smiles and waves at the nursery workers on arrival. The staff clearly work hard to form bonds with each child. An excellent nursery! My daughter 2 years old loves going and is so happy when I pick her up. I enjoy taking her and picking her up inside the room she stays in. It's lovely to hear what she has been up to in her session that day. They do so many activities with them, singing dancing and lots of free
play too. The food they get is amazing and I believe it has taught her to experience new tastes and to eat well with the other children. The staff are lovely and the app is great to see photos of what they have been up to. It also tells you what they have eaten and how much! Overall Kindred Hykeham is a great place!

Fantastic nursery setting. The kids are happy there, they love the staff, the food is good. We love them being there and would highly recommend the nursery to other parents. The staff are particularly outstanding - their attention to detail, care and understanding is commendable.

My daughter has been going since she was 6 months old, was really nervous with her being so young but the nursery have been absolutely fantastic. She loves it and always has a smile on her face when I pick her up. She loves the food and the lovely ladies who look after her like one of their own. Her

Great staff, and a wonderfully nurturing and calm environment.
The nursery strikes a great balance between providing fun whilst also instilling good values, such as respect, politeness etc in the children. My daughter loves her time at Kindred.

I moved my daughter to Kindred (previously St Nicholas) in October 2023 from another setting when she was 2 years 4 months as I was unhappy with the care she was receiving. It was the best thing I ever did! She absolutely loves Kindred and all of the staff we have met are fantastic. They always take
the time at the end of the day to tell me what she has been up to no matter how busy they are, and there is also an app where photos are uploaded daily. After being anxious about using a nursery previously, I have full peace of mind that she is happy and being looked after to the highest standard. She is now in preschool and loves it even more, my son is due to start in the baby room at the end of October and settling-in sessions were booked promptly in advance. The nursery is extremely clean and the food they prepare is fantastic. Having used it as a parent and worked at several nurseries across Lincoln, this is the only one I would ever recommend to anybody.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

My name is Chelsea and I am the Manger of Kindred Hykeham.


I have worked in childcare since 2008 and hold a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce.


Throughout the years I have formed strong relationships with our children and their families, guiding them through various transitions all the way from babies to school. It is my passion to watch the children flourish in our environment, bringing out the best in them all.
