Shanklin Day Nursery

My little boy settled in so well to the baby room at Shanklin Day Nursery, he built great bonds with the staff and I knew when I dropped him off he was going to be incredibly well looked after. The updates on the app throughout the day were great and we really enjoyed seeing what he was getting up too. We were devastated when we moved away and had to change his nursery as no other will compare to Shanklin.

Couldn't have asked for anything better.

We put our son into the nursery when he was 1 year old, he was provided with a key person, and regular updates were submitted onto the app which gave us comfort throughout the days. A particular member of staff was wonderful, he warmed to her instantly. Management were great to answer any queries, and two particular members of staff would respond back in a timely manner and provide a monthly newsletter on any Nursery updates. We attended some parent stay and play sessions which were always very interactive and fun. He moved up to the toddler room eventually, this was a smooth transition. He especially warmed to another two members. The outdoor space is wonderful and the inside is spacious with rooms equipped with wonderful learning activities and toys. We were provided with snapshot reports to ensure he was reaching the framework indicator as well as learning stories to ensure his developmental progress was recorded. We are looking to send our daughter here in September 2025, thank you Shanklin!

Shanklin Day Nursery is a home away from home for my two children who attend there. My daughter will be leaving the nursery to start school in a few weeks. She started at Shanklin when she was two years old, and instantly took to it, enjoying every moment within the first week. The staff are wonderful, caring and very approachable - my daughter speaks very fondly of them. She has become a very confident little girl who has progressed so well. My son is one, and equally enjoys his time at the nursery and has built good relationships with the staff. The nursery offers a variety of activities for all the children and has a brilliant outdoor space for the kids to enjoy. The level of communication with parents/carers is perfect, and there are opportunities for parents to be involved too, such as stay-and-play sessions and sports day. I really recommend this nursery as they provide high-quality childcare. Thank you to all the staff at Shanklin Day Nursery.

We have two children that attend Shanklin and I highly recommend it. The staff there are all lovely and it's so nice when you see your child progressing and gaining confidence. Definitely recommend this nursery.

Myself and my wife can't recommend Shanklin Day Nursery enough. Our son joined when he was 10 months old, staying until 13 months when we moved away and leaving Shanklin was truly one of the saddest parts of moving. The whole team is so friendly and welcoming, our son was always thrilled to arrive in the mornings and sometimes even sad to see us when we collected him! As a teacher myself, I was really impressed with the range of activities and how detailed the notes on our son's development were. I felt completely confident that not only was he being looked after in a happy, caring environment and therefore his emotional needs were being fully met, but also that his developmental needs were a real priority. We saw a huge jump in development after he joined, the food options were excellent and his soy allergy well-catered for, and I was particularly impressed with the creative activities on offer (painting, messy play, sticking, using crayons).
