Our 11-month-old son has been attending Caterpillar Day Nursery for the last four months. I cannot recommend them enough. He absolutely loves attending and always gets excited once we arrive. The staff are so caring and so lovely and I wouldn't have him anywhere else. Our eldest's old nursery had a space open up, which is in our village, but my husband and I don't want to move our youngest as we are so impressed with Caterpillar. Nothing is too much trouble, handovers are very detailed and the owners are amazing. They help out in the rooms on a regular basis and are very hands-on. The environment is happy and the range of resources is large. My son has a food allergy and the kitchen always provide an adjusted version of the meal so that he isn't left out of what everyone else is having. Caterpillar is absolutely focused on the children and I've never felt like it is run as a 'business' but everything is run with the children first. Truly the best!
My son has been to several nurseries before attending Caterpillars and this is by far our favourite. My son has settled very easily and the transition to nursery has been effortless. I am a single parent and it has been a very hard process for me emotionally having to leave my son but this nursery and the staff in his room (Wigglies) have been very supportive and I can't thank them enough for making this process that little bit easier for me. My son now goes to nursery putting on a little moan and running to play... we are only three weeks in! We feel very lucky to be a part of this community. Thank you so much again!
My daughter has attended the wrap-around provision for over a year and loves it. The staff have taken time to get to know her and create a happy atmosphere. There is always plenty to do, so she is keen to get going to breakfast club every morning. Having older children around has been beneficial to my daughter in making friends and settling into school. Happy to recommend.
As soon as we visited this nursery we knew it was the one for us and we visited a lot! They offer such a warm and caring environment which you feel as soon as you step through the front door. Being smaller and more intimate than some other settings every member of staff not only knows every child but every parent by name which is so reassuring. We have started both our daughters in their baby room and we loved watching them flourish and develop as they move from room to room with the help and care of the staff. I couldn't not mention the food either, home-cooked nutritious meals served every day! We would recommend Caterpillar to anyone and know our daughters will have lovely memories of their time there for years to come.
But seeing how my daughter is from the handovers we parents get, using the app so we can keep an eye when busy at work and also seeing how our daughter is when she returns from nursery is such a delight to see. She is so happy and confident when she is there. And we as parents couldn't be more happier. People say when you know you know.. we had this for our daughter and we couldn't pick a better place for her. She has grown to be such a confident toddler and I think nursery does have a big impact towards this.
As well I think they have done a fantastic job during the covid times as well. Keeping everyone informed of everything.
My youngest is there now and she has a brilliant time there. Thank you to Caterpillar for providing such a wonderful service.
