Rowans Day Nursery has been brilliant with my daughter. She has improved so much since going there. She loves the workers and her friends. They are an amazing nursery and have helped my daughter so much since attending. They give details about her day and always talk with my daughter everyday.

We couldn't be happier with Rowans. From the very beginning, the staff have been caring, professional, and genuinely invested in every child's happiness and development. The nursery has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and feels safe and nurturing from the moment you walk in.
The strong leadership and dedicated management team are clearly reflected in the high standards throughout the nursery. Their approachable and supportive nature creates a positive environment for both children and families.
The team provides engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play while supporting each child's individual needs. Communication is excellent, with regular updates on daily activities, progress, and milestones, giving parents real peace of mind.

Our child has grown in confidence, independence, and social skills since attending and is always excited to go in each morning. We would highly recommend Rowans to any parent seeking a caring, supportive, and high-quality setting.

We have had a very positive experience with the nursery. The staff are approachable, welcoming, helpful, and always willing to support my child. They are accommodating to my child's needs and have played an important role in supporting his overall development and growth. They have also been very supportive with parenting at home, whether by offering helpful ideas, advice, or creating resources and activities to continue supporting my child outside of nursery.

We couldn't be happier with the nursery our sons attend. From the very beginning, the staff have been warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring, which made settling in so much easier for both him and us as parents. It's clear that the team truly cares about each child's wellbeing and development.
The environment is always clean, safe, and full of engaging activities that encourage learning through play. Our son comes home every day excited, talking about what he's done and the friends he's made, which says everything. We've noticed a huge boost in his confidence, communication skills, and overall happiness since starting.
The communication from the nursery is excellent as well - we're always kept informed about his progress, daily activities, and any important updates. It gives us real peace of mind knowing he's in such a supportive and nurturing place.

We're incredibly grateful for everything the staff do and would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a safe, caring

Amy Smith Job Title: Nursery Manager/DSL Lead Joined: 2002
Amy Smith

Hello, I’m Amy, and I am proud to be the Nursery Manager here at Rowans Day Nursery.

I have been part of the Rowans family for almost 24 years (since July 2002), and for the past 18 years, I have had the privilege of managing our wonderful setting. Over the years, I have seen many children grow, thrive and move on to school, and it is incredibly special to welcome back families with younger siblings and even former children who are now parents themselves.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Early Years Childcare and Education and am passionate about providing a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where every child feels valued and supported. I strongly believe that early years are the foundation for lifelong learning, and I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and education for our families.

As a mum of five, I truly understand the importance of choosing the right childcare provider. Building trusting relationships with parents and working in partnership with families is at the heart of everything we do here at Rowans.

Outside of nursery life, I enjoy skiing, reformer Pilates and long walks in Sutton Park with my dog. I am also part of the Sutton Coldfield Sea Cadets Unit Management Team and have been involved for around eight years. I love taking part in muddy charity fun runs and supporting local community initiatives whenever I can.

I look forward to welcoming you and your family to Rowans Day Nursery.
