Munchkins Day Nursery

Our daughter joined Munchkins when we moved to Exeter from London and has blossomed into a curious, clever, kind and happy little girl. The staff at Munchkins warmly welcomed all of us and truly cared for us as a family. They encouraged and enabled our daughter to learn, take risks and develop from a rather timid baby into a precocious toddler. The room leader and her colleagues consistently worked with us as a team, providing continuity between home and nursery - both spaces were full of love, kindness, freedom, joy and creativity. We have many wonderful memories of our daughter's time at Munchkins, captured through artwork, Tapestry posts, and numerous 'home books' - but the most convincing and precious evidence is our daughter herself. Munchkins has helped her to become bold and empathetic, curious and caring, a prolific artist (paint! shaving foam! glitter! markers! chalk!) and still a bookworm, tremendously clever and beautiful in every way. This is a truly special team!

My youngest daughter loves Munchkins just as much as her sister (who went for three years) did. We have always found the staff to be so caring and the environment they create is relaxed but stimulating and playful. I love that I get regular Internet updates of progress as well as a daily record of her routine. The office staff are always prompt with responding to any email or phone queries which is so necessary when you are a working parent.

This has been our experience all the way through from babies to pre-school. My youngest has additional needs and the nursery has responded brilliantly to this. They have been completely engaged and have liaised with various professionals to ensure that our daughter has the best possible support while in the setting.

The standard of care is very high, staff are happy and very attentive to parents when they come to collect their children, giving them lots of information about their day. My children are always very happy when they go and leave and look forward to their day. My daughter has food intolorences and Munckins has always been very understanding, communicative and helpful.

My son started at Munchkins at the age of 6 months, he is now 17 months and has become a very confident and well rounded little boy. The staff are amazing, they always take the time to tell me about his day and have such enthusiasm for what they do. My son never has a problem being dropped off in the mornings, in fact, he doesn't normally give me a backwards glance as he can't wait to get in there and have lots of fun! I also love that they have NurseryCam so I can see what he's up to and it gives me great peace of mind and reassurance. I would highly recommend and encourage all parents to send their children to Munchkins, it really is the best nursery in Exeter!
