Oakland Lodge Day Nursery

Lovely Nursery with kind and helpful staff. My daughter has been attending for the last 2 years and thoroughly enjoys going. She engages well with the staff and other children and always comes home happy. They are always so helpful when I have had any queries too. I would 100% recommend to anyone.

Amazing staff, been so helpful with our boy, put so much effort and work with him to get on track with his speech, always polite and friendly. Nursery overall well equipped and planing/making new and exciting activities for kids every day. There is no comparison between mulberry bush and previous nursery he was attending. Can't fault in anyway, just great.

I have experience of 3 other nurseries in the past 5 years and none are as good as here. Fantastic, professional management and their staff genuinely seem to like my child. I completely trust them with him and feel they handle all family issues very well. The only things I would change, if possible, would be: to make the menu more vegetarian-friendly. To have berries room less busy. To use less plastic/be more environmentally friendly - but I appreciate this is tricky in a nursery setting. To lose the alarm on the door, I'd say this was the worst part of our entire experience! (Which says a lot.) It would also be nice to be able to come into the nursery more on the occasional drop-off, to see the rooms. Despite those minor things, the care of my son has been outstanding. Any matters dealt with swiftly and ensuring I am supported and happy with his care. The staff seem happy and cared for and I would use again without question. They cost more than other settings but it's worth it!

I wouldn’t send my son anywhere else than The Mulberry Bush Nursery! They are so caring and clever with the range of activities they put on for the little ones and everyone is so charming. My son loves going in every day and sometimes doesn’t want to leave. They encourage sharing, being kind to one another, learning inside and the outdoors too and fostering a real sense of creativity. The meals they put on are healthy and varied and I’m often envious when I look at the weekly menu on a Monday morning. The app is wonderful so you can see what the children did over the day, including photographs and important milestones. I often ask the nursery for advice on things as I’m a single mother of one and they are incredible at supporting me as well as my child. I have complete peace of mind taking my son to nursery, he is safe and loves every minute of it - I thoroughly recommend it!

The Mulberry Bush is an outstanding nursery. We’ve been overwhelmed by how wonderful the staff are and our youngest thoroughly enjoys all his time at the setting. He’s been there almost a year and everyone is so accommodating. He comes home and tells us all about his day and has made some wonderful friends. He will be off to big school next year and I know he will miss everyone, but I have great confidence he will be very well prepared ready for his next adventure. Thank you to all at the Mulberry Bush.

I would highly recommend this nursery; it is a lovely setting, and the staff are brilliant, very caring and really go above and beyond. The activities are excellent, always varied, fun and educational. My children love coming to the nursery, and it has really helped their confidence, speech and development in all areas. They have built a great relationship with their keyworker, and I love the feedback from staff at the end of the day and on the app showing what they have been doing at the nursery. I can not recommend this nursery enough.

Nursery has provided both our children with a home from home experience. The care and attention to learning is tailored to the children who they know so well to engage and stretch them on a daily basis. Our children have loved attending nursery as staff are welcoming and interested in their little lives outside of nursery too.

Fabulous experience. Staff have gone above and beyond for my son. SEN inclusive and have fantastic communication skills and have worked super hard to provide the best care, learning and support for both my son and myself. Cannot rate this nursery enough, friendly staff awesome management. If I could give more stars I would. Thank you so much.

The Mulberry Bush Nursery is just fantastic. Our daughter started at age 1, and in just under a year at the nursery, she is a very confident and caring little girl. This is credit to all the team. Our daughter loves going to nursery and we know she is well looked after. We would recommend to anyone looking for childcare.

The different range of activities for all the children in all 3 rooms are excellent and really help them to develop. I would be more than happy to recommend this nursery to anyone.

My daughter has been attending the Mulberry Bush Nursery for 2 years and we have seen her developing well under the supervision and care of those who work there. We are confident that her social and academic skills would not be at the level that they are now had she not attended.

We moved our eldest to the Mulberry Bush in November 2021 and have nothing but praise to give the setting. The staff are extremely caring and our child always comes home happy. She has learnt a huge amount and continues to grow as a person with excellent supervision and guidance.

I honestly think this is the best nursery in our area and I recommend it to all my friends to whom agree and have signed their children up.

Our son loves Mulberry Bush Nursery. He is one and attends four days a week, which I was concerned about leaving him so often at his age but he absolutely enjoys going and has such fun when there. The staff take such good care of him and they do activities and sensory, exploratory play that I would never imagine doing. He has developed mentally and physically since attending. One of the things I love is getting his daily updates via the parent app. I don't feel I miss out then. Another great addition is the home-cooked meals they have. It is so nice not to worry about packing lunch for him.

The Mulberry Bush is an excellent nursery and one I would highly recommend to anyone. My first child began attending in 2015 and I still have one child who currently goes twice a week. The care my children have received has been outstanding, and you can tell how much the staff care about the wellbeing and happiness of every child. When my first child left, they were desperate to be allowed back to attend the holiday clubs. The activities on offer are extensive and my children especially love(d) all of the outdoor spaces and equipment, and the quality and range of food given to the children is also really good. I have been impressed by the management and communication from the nursery as well - both before and during the pandemic when we received regular and very clear information. This nursery is definitely worth a visit to meet the staff and find out more.

The Mulberry Bush has such a warm environment for the children. The staff are so passionate and caring, they build a very trusting relationship with the children and parents and they cater for the individual needs/characters. My son has been there for 2 and a half years, 5 days a week, and loves going. They have so many activities set up throughout the day - no two days are the same. My other son ‘graduated’ a year and a half ago and still talks so fondly of the staff and place. Would never hesitate to recommend.
