Joint Colleges Nursery

Our second child has been attending JCN for several months now (our eldest previously attended throughout the nursery years). His settling in period went extremely smoothly. The fact that he is always very happy to go in to nursery every morning is testament to the quality of care that he is getting there. He eats well, he sleeps well, and he has a lot of fun with a lot of outdoor time. We receive a thorough report verbally and via the app every day and we love the weekly newsletters. JCN is a lovely environment with staff that truly care about the children.

Everyone at JCN has been super lovely and our daughter loved going there, even from a relatively early age of c.14 months or so. We would definitely recommend the nursery to anyone considering it. Our daughter was happy to go there every day and the staff who cared for her really got to know her quickly and she really seemed fond of them, especially her key person(s). Outside of the room setting, the office staff were super responsive and kind. We are very grateful for the care provided and that our daughter and family received this. Thank you to JCN (shout out especially to Charlotte and Jodie, but really to all) and two thumbs up from all of us!

Now my son has started his journey at similar age and is having a great time too. Some things have changed but the atmosphere and feeling is the same.

I would definitely recommend this place to parents looking for a great place in Cambridge.

We love this nursery - it has amazing outdoor spaces, a warm and friendly family atmosphere including lots of opportunities for parents to see and be involved in nursery life, a really lovely (supervised)sleep shed in the baby room and great food cooked on site by the chef. It is a real community run by the parent management committee and is small and friendly - would highly recommend

Joint Colleges Nursery is an absolutely wonderful nursery and I highly recommend it! I am extremely happy with the devoted care my son had received there, all throughout his year at JCN, and deeply thankful to the amazing staff!

We are deeply appreciative of the JCN team for fostering a nurturing environment for our child. The smaller group sizes allow staff to plan a variety of tailored activities throughout the week. Our child thoroughly enjoys attending forest school, tiny toes ballet, yoga classes, and occasional outings to the nearby park. JCN boasts a friendly atmosphere with attentive staff who encourage independence and spark curiosity. Additionally, there are several opportunities throughout the year for parents to meet and mingle with other families.

My child currently attends the nursery in the under 2's room. He is very happy there and is excited to go in every day. The staff are warm and friendly and really care about the children. My son has such varied days and is able to participate in activities that he would not be able to do at home. He eats a wide variety of food which is freshly prepared on site. It is a great environment and one which I would highly recommend.

My son attended Joint Colleges Nursery from 12 months old until he started school and I’m delighted that my daughter has been able to follow in his footsteps and has so far had a very happy twelve months there. Joint Colleges Nursery is a small, friendly nursery with fantastic outside space. The forest school provision is incredible. The staff are kind, caring and committed to their own development. Staff turnover is very low. There are wonderful opportunities for parents to get involved if they wish. They have their own chef who is fantastic. Lunch always smells delicious.

We can only say good things about Joint Colleges Nursery. Our daughter has attended the nursery for the past 3 years, and she is extremely happy. Joint Colleges Nursery is her second home. The staff really cares about children and the nursery is lovely. We have just had a second baby, and even though the nursery is far from our home, we had no doubts about which nursery to choose. We are very happy that he will also be part of the Joint Colleges Nursery family.

At pick up, we always hear about the exciting, varied and age-appropriate activities they have done and they usually bring home lots of arts and crafts too. This is a truly special place, where we know the individual needs and personalities of our children are well attended to. The staff really care so deeply about every child thriving. My child started in Joint Colleges Nursery when she was 11.5 months old. The settling-in weeks were handled very professionally. They spent quality time with my child and gave regular feedbacks, so I was able to follow up how her days were going. Since then, my daughter is very happy to be there every day. It is a very welcoming environment. Teachers are very approachable and very lovely people. The garden of the nursery has a great setting for kids of all ages. We are extremely happy with Joint Colleges Nursery.

The nursery is a charity run by a committee of parents and staff members, which makes the nursery a very familiar and friendly environment. I would definitely recommend the nursery to other parents!
