Children's Montessori Nursery is authentic in Gamlingay for children aged 2 to 5 years. It offers a calm, welcoming environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover and develop a genuine love of learning.
The nursery follows the Montessori philosophy, recognising that every child is naturally curious, capable and unique. Learning is guided by each child's interests, abilities and individual pace, with practitioners providing the support, encouragement and carefully chosen resources children need to become confident, independent learners.
Children learn through purposeful, hands-on experiences using high-quality Montessori materials. These encourage exploration, concentration, problem-solving and discovery, allowing children to develop new skills while making meaningful choices about their learning.
The nursery's small, settled rooms create a peaceful and secure atmosphere where children can feel known, valued and supported. Close attention to each child helps practitioners understand their interests and developmental needs, creating an environment where children can flourish socially, emotionally and academically.
Alongside their Montessori learning, children are supported to develop independence, confidence, kindness and positive social skills. These foundations help prepare them for the next stage of their education, while nurturing a positive attitude towards learning.
Children's Montessori Nursery also provides wraparound care from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm, offering flexibility for working families, along with a Holiday Club that provides engaging experiences during school holidays.
The nursery's combination of genuine Montessori practice, small-group learning, and individual attention gives children the space and encouragement to grow into confident, capable, and enthusiastic learners.

About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of 2 to 3 year olds can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week, and some families on qualifying benefits can claim 15 hours regardless of working status. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 50 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 50 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 22.8 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.
