Young Haymakers Montessori Nursery Reviews (20)
Over all time Young Haymakers Montessori Nursery has 20 reviews.
My daughter is quite sensitive and can find new situations difficult; she has also struggled with verbalising her thoughts and feelings at times. Keeping all of this in mind, the staff went over and beyond to nurture and support my daughter in every way they could. From using photographs, visual aids, Makaton signs, and more than anything else, they provided her with so much love and warmth, that before long, she started to feel so secure and nurtured that she really blossomed.
She has loved nursery and progressed so much; she comes out singing, dancing and is full of smiles.
I would recommend this nursery to everyone. It is just beautiful… a real treasure.
The lovely team at Young Haymakers have taken great care of my little boy, who attended the setting and flourished in their care. He has just moved up to primary school and is confident, happy and wanting to learn - I can only thank the staff at Young Haymakers for this.
The team at Young Haymakers were nothing but patient, caring, with fantastic communication skills throughout (verbal, written and emails). Nothing was ever too much, and I can honestly say, if I ever have any more children, I will be sending them here in a heartbeat.
Compared to other outstanding settings locally, Young Haymakers Montessori Nursery should receive a Platinum Award; they are a cut above with high staff retention. The team are intelligent, engaging, devoted and compassionate. We truly feel they have each child’s welfare front of mind. My 2nd daughter joined Willow Room when it first opened (beautiful space). Young Haymakers Montessori Nursery is open about all aspects of nursery life, so we were thrilled to return with my son in January 21. We don’t have family support nearby, so the transition was a worry. The team were incredible, and focused on respecting each child’s individual needs, increasing the sessions gradually as each child grew in trust and confidence. The team weren’t fazed by our little family quirks. My son recently moved up to Oak Room, and he literally skips in each day. He adores the staff, and his days are packed with Forest School, tailored and varied activities, plus an impressive outdoor educational play area. We love that simple community values are also taught.
Our daughter attended Young Haymakers for 2-years, and we couldn’t be more delighted and grateful to have found them. She sailed in happily from her first day, thanks to the nurturing and caring staff and the environment they have created. The staff are incredible and offer unwavering support. We are particularly grateful to them for their positive attitude during the pandemic and in such challenging times. We were greeted every day by a smiling face, safe in the knowledge that she would be well cared for. Our daughter formed a strong bond with her key person, who she still talks about regularly. It truly is an outstanding setting; the well-considered opportunities for learning are exceptional, and we saw our daughter flourish during her time there. There is a strong focus on the individual child’s needs and interests, and these are well nurtured. We only wish our daughter could continue her education there; we would jump at the opportunity!
Our eldest is in his second and final year at Young Haymakers and absolutely loves it. He has made some wonderful friends and loves his teachers. Young Haymakers is situated in a unique rural location, which allows the children lots of space for outdoor play and the chance to explore the surrounding countryside. We enjoy hearing what he gets up to each day - singing, painting, cooking, stories and learning lots about wildlife and the changing seasons. We are confident that Young Haymakers is the very best place to prepare our son for school next year, and we are pleased to continue our relationship with Young Haymakers when our younger son starts.
My son loved Young Haymakers; he loved the fact there were various environments for him to explore, especially the outside areas and the woods.
He always came home happy and talked of all his friends and teachers. He still does, even though he has left to go to school.
The staff are always willing to talk to parents or set up meetings in order to chat at length.
I cannot recommend Young Haymakers highly enough.
Both my children have attended Young Haymakers from 9-months, and we have been delighted with the nursery. The staff are really experienced and have been able to get the best out of my little ones, to the point where my youngest gets upset when we pick him up as he wants to stay. COVID was a challenging period, but I felt the staff handled this so well, and my little girl was able to carry on enjoying these precious years in blissful ignorance of what was happening in the wider world. I really like the fact that there is a lot of outdoor play and exploring and really feel that this setting has given my children an amazing start in life.
There is always a variety of activities going on, from forest school to baking and everything in between! We have many pieces of art now hanging from our walls that our children have done during the day.
Both children have made strong bonds with members of staff, and they both often talk about the staff with fondness.
They have also made good friends with other children.
There is also the very important aspect of learning, which again both of our children come home and have clearly been learning good skills which are preparing them for the transition to school.
My two children attended Young Haymakers, one from the age of 18-months and the other from the age of two years until starting school, and I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery. The staff are absolutely wonderful, creating a warm, caring and nurturing environment in which the children thrive. The staff really get to know the children and tailor learning to their needs and interests and are always available to offer advice and support. The setting and facilities are stunning, in a quiet rural location, with a beautiful outside area and access to woodland. I feel the supportive and caring environment and approach, encouraging resilience and perseverance, has given my children an excellent introduction to education, which has helped them when starting school and has set them up for future learning.
We felt that it was an inspiring, nurturing environment from the moment we arrived to view it prior to our first son starting there. This was latterly reinforced when looking for another option with longer hours, we couldn’t find anywhere even half as good.
Our boys are always happy and excited to go to nursery and are equally excited to tell me about the many varied things that they have done on each day they attend.
It’s a truly excellent learning environment with caring, motivated, nurturing staff and management.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Young Haymakers and couldn’t imagine a better place to send my own children.
I think more fundamentally though, we found them to be rather cruel to one of my twins who was struggling with language and expression. They ostracised and labelled her “difficult” because they lacked the care and patience to work with her. I can say all of this very confidently having watched them thrive, since January, at another nursery. A huge relief for us after this experience.
We are very disappointed to read this review of our setting. Young Haymakers is a small family-owned nursery where every family is known, welcomed, valued and included. We choose our staff especially well to ensure they demonstrate the expertise, skills and nurturing abilities to meet every child’s...
My son attended Young Haymakers, and my daughter has started this month. Both have had/ are having the best time.
We could not ask for more from a nursery.
The communication, the facilities, the care the children receive, the activities and experiences available are all faultless.
What an outstanding nursery we are fortunate to have in our community.
Both of my daughters have attended Young Haymakers. My youngest is still there currently after joining when she was one. We, as a family, love Young Haymakers. We see all the staff like family, my daughter even calling the teachers her best friends. She comes home happy every day and loves all of the outdoor activities they do.
Currently, my son who is 19 months attends Willow room, which is purpose-built for under 2’s, he loves Young Haymakers and the staff are so kind, compassionate and professional, I feel so comfortable leaving him and never had a problem with separation anxiety. This is my third child to go to Young Haymakers. I wouldn’t have wanted my son to go anywhere else. My two daughters flourished at Young Haymakers and still request to go back to holiday club, they started school with so much confidence and were able to write their own names count to above 20 and have so much of the early years foundation skills under their belts, thanks to Young Haymakers. In my opinion, the facilities are above average situated in the most beautiful location and to top it off, the staff are amazing and go above and beyond to ensure the children are happy and are supported with their educational and social needs.
I can’t fault Young Haymakers and always recommend it to everyone I meet with young children! it is a wonderful setting for little ones with lots of outdoor space and the most nurturing staff you could meet. My first daughter who is now at school enjoyed 2.5 years at Haymakers and was sad to leave, her sister is now there two days a week and loves it!
Both of our sons attended Young Haymakers nursery and we can’t thank the staff enough for all the care, encouragement and guidance they provided over the years. They helped to instil a love of learning in our children. The setting is stunning surrounded by rolling fields and forests. The staff teach the children forest school taking them out into the countryside which allowed our boys to experience the natural world first hand. The facilities are excellent and we loved the Montessori aspect of the education they provided. Our boys loved attending the nursery and always wanted to go back!
We’re so delighted with Haymakers. Both our boys have attended from the age of 9 months and have absolutely flourished there. The environment and ethos is so lovely and supportive. The staff have made such a lot of effort to get to know each of our boys as individuals and tailor activities and approach based on their very different personalities and needs. I can’t imagine finding a lovelier setting for my children and I have no doubt that it is providing a brilliant start to life.
I could not be happier, Young Haymakers is well above excellent. I had problems leaving my son with anyone, he could not cope being away from me, I had tried many times...then I found Young Haymakers. They are all so friendly and professional...my son's keyworker worked with him for his needs and made him feel safe, secure and happy so it was not long until he just waved goodbye to me and happily went into the nursery. HE LOVES IT!! My son has come on AMAZINGLY with his speech and physical skill as well. Their facilities are fantastic as well. It is clean and well laid out with so much to do for the children and the outside is amazing with lots of learning and fun things to do. Also, my son loves the walks they go on in the woods. My son and I believe there could not be a better nursery.
Brilliant communication between the key-worker and parent appears to be a priority. I always feel that my child is nurtured and cared for as an individual with his own specific needs and character traits being worked with and enhanced. I am confident that the nursery are honest with me in relation to my child's happiness and progress whilst under their care.
My daughter has settled in very well. The staff are caring, kind and compassionate. We all love coming here.
