I'm very happy with the communication from the nursery. With the teachers on how they work on the development of my son. With how incredibly involved the teachers are in making my son's day very exciting and not boring. They go way beyond! The food is always tasty and my son has learnt different flavours. We have had such a positive experience since my daughter started at 9 months old at the end of last year. I was worried about leaving her and visited all the local nurseries but I had no doubt that I wanted her to go to Hopscotch. The staff have been brilliant with her and me, making us both feel so relaxed. The facilities are amazing and I know she loves her nursery days. Thank you to all the staff at Hopscotch for their amazing hard work.

I have two children, a son, Oliver and a daughter, Anabelle. We also have a cockapoo called Reggie!
I started off at Peacehaven working as bank staff while I completed my level 3 training. I then moved to a full-time position at Brighton Hopscotch (Varndean College, it's not there anymore!), then senior practitioner back at Peacehaven, to Deputy Manager at Varndean College Hopscotch, then Manager for 18 months there. Then I was the manager at Peacehaven for four years. Then Manager at West Hove for 10 years, then Manager at Seaford for 12 years! Total 28 years!!
I love watching the children grow and develop, knowing that the support we give them and the experiences we create at nursery play a real part in their journey.
I play netball for Seaford Netball Club, which I joined when I was 18. We play weekly in the Eastbourne adult league, and I play GK.
I started at Seaford Hopscotch as an apprentice at 18 and gained my NVQ Level 3 qualification. I then worked at different settings with young people, including a school for children with additional needs and another nursery, before returning as Deputy Manager to Portland Road Hopscotch in 2012. I also worked as Deputy Manager at Bavant Road Hopscotch before having my first daughter, whereafter I returned as Room Leader at Seaford Blue Group in order to be nearer to home. I covered the Manager role at Seaford whilst Gemma was on maternity leave before having my second child and becoming the deputy Manager, completing a full circle back at Seaford Hopscotch!
My favourite part of working with children is that every day is different. I love getting an insight into their little minds and when their personality and characters shine through!
