Fledglings Nursery & Preschool

We are really impressed with the range and quality of activities planned for the children each day. The staff are all brilliant and show a consistent level of care and knowledge of the children. It is really nice to see the nursery Manager greet the children by name most mornings and If not, her deputy. The handover sheet is very detailed and whilst I am sure my child plays/interacts with all the activities throughout the day, it would be nice/useful to know one or two things they have shown real interest in/learning in the day so that we can talk about it at home and continue to build on it and know new things we have missed.

He has been challenged when needed and achieved so much, engaging well and becoming a very sociable, caring, independent and curious 3 year old.

In the baby room, my child was very happy and I felt that all of the staff related well to their needs and showed a good understanding of my child. The key workers monitor the children's development well and have an informative end of day hand over to parents. Think the lunch options are really good, but not so happy with the teas, sandwiches/sausage rolls/beans etc rather than the Baked Potato type meals we thought were going to be provided.

Both of our children have thoroughly enjoyed and flourished during their time at Fledglings. Strong care and support from the established staff - often retaining staff for many years, staff listen and address feedback or issues promptly and enhancements to the nursery are constantly reviewed to ensure the nursery offers the optimum experience to their children e.g. recent levelling and Astroturf in the garden.

Lovely nursery set in beautiful grounds. The staff are caring and kind and my son is very happy there.

The facilities and cleanliness of the nursery are very good and staff are professional and courteous. I feel comfortable knowing that we are leaving our precious son is capable hands and a safe environment.

So happy with everyone at Fledglings Nursery. My daughter took a long time to settle and everyone was so patient and so understanding. I always felt like they really cared and that they took special interest in helping. Now my daughter is so happy there and she asks to go even when it is her day off! She is so happy there and has so much fun.

I always enjoy reading through the record of their learning and activities, it is such a nice reminder of how they have progressed over the months.

The staff at Fledglings are kind and caring and put the child's needs first. Both of my children have excelled at this nursery and are extremely fond of the staff. The facilities are very good, as are the grounds.

There are regular improvements, most recently new flooring inside and new grass in the garden. All-inclusive fees – nappies, wipes, meals and activities, really take away the hassle for busy parents. Food is varied and high quality, including organic meat, and this helped our boys be adventurous eaters. The staff are lovely and foster a calm but busy atmosphere. Parents evenings keep us updated and key workers lovingly prepare development books which have provided us with a lasting record of precious moments. Management runs a tight ship but have always accommodated reasonable requests.

If you are looking at finding a placement I couldn't recommend more and encourage you to view and you will not be disappointed.

My son has been at Fledglings for 2.5 years. He has learnt so much during his time and always comes home singing a new song or telling us about something he's been taught. He has always been very happy and secure there and runs in without looking back. It's a well organised, friendly and happy environment.

It's the team that really make this nursery. They fill me with great confidence that my granddaughter is really and truly cared for. They are polite, knowledgeable, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
