Single Steps Nursery Liss

The staff that are on site with the children are what makes this nursery so special. Everything they do is with the children's best interests at heart and I cannot recommend this setting enough.

Puddleducks of Liss is an extremely nurturing environment. Both of our boys have grown up here with pretty much full daycare every day from a very young age. Not only is it an extremely accommodating nursery, with management who will always try their very best to help with any last-minute needs or advice, but I feel that they have had so much to do with both boys growing to be such independent, happy and confident little children. The staff are so nurturing and they think so much about how they can give all of the children in their care a wealth of enrichment including being outside and adventuring and also prepare them for school so well too. The wrap-around care they also provide to the school children is fantastic, always considering how to keep them engaged. I feel both of our children have absolutely flourished at Puddleducks and would highly recommend their care.

Having to recently deal with an unexpected change in childcare priorities, this nursery welcomed us at short notice for an immediate viewing.

A refreshing change for our child of an open plan, calm, patient setting with supportive and diligent staff.

Our child is benefiting from a great sense of normality to its day of child lead learning through play.

Getting plenty of fresh air, walks out and about and access to play resources of her choice.

Nutritious cooked food on site, aspiring to peers of different ages and seemingly settled, happier, mindful and focused on a look see learn play basis.

Our transition of her learning experience including a helpful parent app we look forward to continuous development of our childs learning journey all helped along by caring staff.

I've been so impressed with Puddleducks of Liss. They took our daughter in on very short notice but I was never made to feel like we were an inconvenience - from day one both our daughter and us have been made to feel part of the Puddleducks family.

Our daughter has a speech delay and the whole team have been great - encouraging her to find her voice through song and play, suggesting techniques to improve her command of language and being really cooperative with the Speech and Language assessment team with the NHS. Since starting last year her speech and language has improved a huge amount and I credit a large portion of that progress to the expertise and encouragement from the team at Puddleducks.

She spends time singing, dancing, playing with the other children, dressing up, role play, colouring, painting and taking part in craft projects - I'm sure there is lots more but this is as much as she can communicate with me.

They've recently helped us with potty training and continue to offer advice whenever we ask for it. Their communication skills both in person and by email are excellent - I've never had to wait more than 24 hours for any query I've raised.

The building is secure and I've not worried once about her getting out or anyone getting in that isn't supposed to - the team have signing in and signing in procedures nailed down so I've never had any worries about that. She regularly goes on walks to the local village, the park, the library bus with them as well as group trips to local attractions and events and really enjoys taking part in these trips.

It is an excellent nursery and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a childcare facilities. The building is good for it's use, the facilities are great but the team are what makes it such a wonderful place- their communication is everything you'd hope for and you feel confident in their ability to look after your children.

The staff at Puddleducks are very caring and I feel secure when leaving my children in their capable hands. I have experienced every part of Puddleducks from the baby room through to the pre-school facility and have found each stage to be tailored to my children's needs. Puddleducks offer a range of trips which my eldest child very much enjoyed. The nursery excels in helping children become ready for school, with my eldest benefiting from five trips with the nursery to her infant school. As a result, she was happy and secure when she started her reception year.

I couldn't be happier with the service provided to my daughter. The staff are very friendly and caring. My daughter and previously my son always enjoy their experience at Puddeducks with positive stories of the days/ events discussed every day. The staff are a credit to the nursery and I couldn't recommend highly enough.
